Will be great to see JV make it past the play-in again.

They should have fired that clown Calvin Booth earlier. What a waste of time.

He still changes the game when he's out there on the court with how much of a constant threat he is near the basket. Murray/Valanciunas screening action should be enough to beat up most bench units.

I don't love that you can't play Val and Jokic together, but overall this is a really great move.

That’s the part I don’t like about this move and why I wish they’d gotten Horford instead. How many minutes will Val play in the playoffs, like 5 per game? Horford would’ve fit so well with or without Jokic on the floor.

Getting off MPJ's albatross contract is a big win in it's own right. Cam Johnson is a great addition

no picks this draft but they did sign Curtis Johnson whom i think is an NBA caliber player that fits a big need

Jonas for Saric who never really got a chance and was unplayable when he did is pretty sick, especially seeing how the backup C issue has been mindboggling for all of Jokic's prime basically

Bruce Brown will slide back naturally to his 6th man role and they still have their MLE to use

Nuggets gonna be a problem next season...

What were their other Gm's doing these last couple of years? seems it isn't that hard after all to make a few much needed moves

Timing is a factor in all these things too, sometimes you just have to wait for the right moves to be available, then you make them.

Technically nobody but it’s Jon Wallace making these moves. He was with the T Wolves front office most recently.

Ben Tenzer was officially given the job last week, but before that was the interim when Calvin was fired and used to run their G-League team. Wallace works under Ben.

As for questions why they didn't make moves like this before, Josh Kroenke obviously wouldn't let the front office trade Michael Porter Jr to do it. Whether that's because of Missouri connection or what, only Josh knows.

Great offseason for Nuggets.

Meh, depending on the matchup you can squeeze a couple of minutes with both, but yes, you're going to have like 10-12 mpg available

Horford is almost 40. I freaking LOVE Horford, but he's not someone a front office can sign and feel great about him definitely being healthy in the playoffs. Guys that old are bonus characters. Relying on them is playing a risky lottery.

Yes. Valanciunas is probably playing 8-10 minutes in the playoffs if all goes well. That's fine. He's replacing Deandre Jordan (5mpg in 7 playoff games), possibly Zeke Nnaji (5.7mpg in 6 playoff games). Val isn't being brought in to do more than that in an ideal situation. He gives them someone that can approximate some Jokic post play and DHO stuff if Jokic gets in foul trouble. It's a nice dimension.

Just having a viable option when Jokic is off is a huge win. 5 mins of rest is more than he got in half the OKC games

Two days of free agency demonstrated why Booth had to be fired.
Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

Really good move for Denver. The top of the West will be quite the battle between Oklahoma City, Denver, Houston and Minnesota.

That's fine, you wanna tell me a team like the Lakers or even the Hornets or any team with a need for a backup big wouldn't have coughed up more than a Dario Saric salary dump?

I doubt that..

A move like this that involved relationships with other teams and negotiations was probably Tenzer.

The bar is so low that it's really hard not to be an big upgrade. DAJ and Nnaji combined to play 10 mins per game in last season playoff.

Legendary.

And they have space for one more mid player I believe.

Absolutely amazing. They did more in the past couple of days than what Booth did in the past few years.
