Let's be honest. We don't want to admit it but Kuz will absolutely help us in the regular season. Playoffs? Meh....

Let's jump into a world where Kuz can knock down an open 3 again. You absolutely keep him.

Yeah, they absolutely need to get out of the Kuzma business now. There's no point in any of this if we're just gonna run him back out there at SF.

Hero and Wiggins each fit financially into what we can take back in a realistic Kuzma trade.

Kuzma is so much more palatable when surrounded by KPJ, Trent, Giannis and Turner than when paired with Dame, Prince and Brook. I’d love to upgrade that spot but this new lineup offers so much more foot speed defensively. Just don’t start that silly offensive line with Prince at the 2 and we’re already massively improved

Let's be honest....Even if Dame was in the best shape of his life, he was targeted all of the time and was a liability on defense. Add to the fact that the dude had zero passion on that side of the ball.

Top 5 defense at the very worst.

I would bet we are not top 5.

I would take that bet. We were what? 11th last year with a largely broken roster and injuries.

We also lost one of the league's best rim protectors who is also one of the most impactful players for defensive rebounding.

Turner is more versatile and will come in handy during the playoffs, but we're going to have a lot of ugly nights on defense during the regular season.

I agree. I think we would need to add a really good wing who can guard 2-5, play great on ball D, and blow stuff up, if we wanted our D to be elite.

Edit: ok just saw the buyout stuff, that Micic probably won't be here. Still a steep price to get off an expiring who can still play when needed

soxperry wrote:So we spent two 2nds to reduce salary by 1.3M?

Thought so at first but reports are Micic will go back overseas and agree to a buyout. I am guessing it saves us at least 4-6 mil.

Does buyout amount reduce the cap hit for sure?
