Its a way to get him on a cheaper number for next year though right? Pay him to rehab this year as a bonus while keeping his cap hit lower.

Now it might not matter because he is getting all his Bucks money and so he might just pick based on where he wants to be with no worries over money, but that would be a reason.

Or maybe he just takes his paycheck and calls it a career. Idk.

I mean if a team would do the full MLE its essentially 1/$30M or so right? Where he gets the first half of his money to rehab this year? But is there a single team with access to that he would sign with?

Heat? Magic? Trailblazers? Those are the ones that jump out at me.

Not sure they can fit that under the first apron but certainly can't under the tax and I don't think they'd pay the tax to redshirt dame for a year. I don't think the mle is out there for him

2+1 team option would buy early bird rights if you give him close to the fullMLE for ages 35-36? Could offer him 22-25mil for ages 37-?? to finish his career? Or just keep him on year 3 if he’s not willing to sign a long term deal..

Not saying it’s very likely but Portland is interesting there…

Boston is kind of really interesting if they get far enough under the tax to use their MLE.. dump as much as Simons as possible, dump Hauser and Niang..

This is obviously face saving lol absolutely no way they do this without him knowing, plus ESPN piece was talking about how Turner and Giannis were talking and excited to play together

Yeah Haynes is a known Dame guy, I wouldn't put too much stock into this.

I'm also confused by this statement from our beloved RookieJazz.

2022 Off-Season: Massive Trade
2023 Off-Season: Stay the course
2024 Off-Season: Massive Trade
2025 Off-Season: Stay the course

Somehow, Minnesota also has more intriguing young players who could become something at this moment in time than they did in 2023, the previous off-season, where they stayed the course.

A simple and effective off-season for Minnesota.

Meanwhile, we are 2 weeks from the NBA Finals, and I feel like we are going to have a Top 5 pick in 2026.

If I suggest Demar to Dallas as part of a Pascal to Sacramento trade.. Rude to Indy fans and Dallas fans will yell at me again..

But Jonas trade could be tied in to it so just would need another vet min from Sac added.. And Sac has a TPE so could take back some of Dallas salaries if you wanted.. And Sac has some extra draft capital..

So Siakam for no salary in return and picks from Sacramento? I guess show me how it works with Indy getting no salary back and you might not get yelled at?

Also doing this in spite of "trading away all of our assets" for Gobert, as many said....
