Denver doing really well. Guess getting rid of Calvin Booth was a good thing.

Hopefully this takes them out of the Al Horford sweepstakes

A healthy MPJ is a little better than Cam. Not by a big margin, but I think he's better. Contract sucks, sure, but as a player, I'll take MPJ. I don't think it's a clear upgrade, on the court, going from MPJ to Cam. I don't think it's a big downgrade but I'd say it's lateral, at best. Jonas is clearly better than Saric but he'll see 0 playoff minutes, so, again, not a huge upgrade. Bruce Brown over Russ could prove to be a great move but Russ WAS good with Jokic so it's not replacing an empty spot, just filling the hole Russ leaves.

I'm not really disagreeing with you, I do think they got better. But it's the difference between bruce brown next year and russell westbrook's 24-25 season with Den. It'll probably be apparent come playoff time that this is an upgrade but I just don't think it's material enough to make a difference in a playoff series.

Cam is by far the better player.. one can pass one cannot, huge difference. Cam also had very good playoff runs and remain good in the Nets which most player would struggle in that environment.

I get that you really value Cam but that's just not true. MPJ is the better shooter, ball-handler, rim finisher, AND a much better rebounder. Cam is a bit better on defense but not by much. Both are not passers so if that's what you'll hang your hat on, good luck. Cam has had good playoff runs but MPJ won a title with that team and was a key contributor during those playoffs. MPJ was a proven success next to Jokic and while I think Cam will be fine, he still has to perform.

You really think going from MPJ to Cam would have made a difference in a playoff round? as I said above, I'd rather have Cam at 25 than MPJ at 45M but, on the court, I'd rather have MPJ.

Can we go get malik monk, now? Please and thank you.

P.S. he was the original bet on yourself gone wrong, right? Didn't he turn down a 5/85 from the lebron lakers to chase a bigger payday and ended up floating around on a bunch of short term deals?

MPJ can barely dribble he is the better ballhander? playmaking wise its day and night which usually separate the offensive players. Cam - 5 year over 120 Ortg, MPJ just 1. Cam 19 AST% vs MPJ 9. MPJ is a better rebound but Cam is a better offensive and defensive player.

one plays next to cam thomas, the other next to jokic. look for some context when just displaying raw numbers. Neither player can dribble the ball up the court so not sure what you mean by "playmaking" but I do know how I want to handle the ball in PnR, if forced to pick between the two, and I certainly know who I want attacking a closeout. In both cases, MPJ is the clear winner. What denver needs is play finishing and rebounding. MPJ is far better at both.

Also, if you think Cam, Jokic, Murray, Braun, Gordon will be the league's best offense next season, I will take that bet.

We are seeing a shift away from 1 way players.

Only reason the nuggets made this deal is that cam (who isn't a good defender) can hold his own which is something mpj can't do. Nets were happy getting a pick.

Im not sure the nuggets will be a top 5 offense, let alone best.

After watching Schroder last year I am shocked the Kings signed him and gave him 45 million. The Kings are so poorly run. They just gave away a good back up center that we could of used. The Warriors have to get a center asap.

He did have a couple of good playoffs games for the Pistons.

But he's an undersized guard on the wrong side of 30.

They've drafted so many guards, including Carter last year. But they traded Haliburton, Fox and let Davion Mitchell just walk.

The Fox trade was a giveaway, guess trying to accommodate him.

So they have to sign a PG now.

He was awful for us but I think it was mostly because we were shoehorning him into a starting role. I think he would have been fine had had come off the bench but, hey, at least we got jimmy out of it.

He is guaranteed to single handily beat the Warriors at least once this upcoming season.

Odd to see Nuggets being so proactive.

Shooting, defense and size off the bench.
