Seems like a good pickup.

A move is definitely coming.

Killing me lol. I suspect some fringe move by the deadline to avoid the tax, Bobby Webster special gonna probably cost us trading down a pick.

Raps gonna trade unprotected first to get out of that Rj contract.... but dont worry, we'll get a "High" 2nd rounder!!

I can't wait for the people who defended the trade to somehow take victory laps after that too

The likely 15 man roster:

C Poeltl (29) / Mamukelashvili (26)
F Barnes (23) / Murray-Boyles (20) / Mogbo (23)
F Ingram (27) / Ochai (25) / Battle (24)
G Barrett (25) / Dick (21) / Walter (20) / Temple (39)
G Quickley (26) / Shead (22) / Martin (23)

Yes, incredibly young. Impressive. And why they wanted TEMPLE there... coach has got a nice roster to start the season... high expectations! 6th , or better, in east.

Damn, didn’t know he had a wet stroke like that, hopefully he finds his consistency with the Raps. This is the type of skillset we need at the C position

Perfect world, we would sign Orlando Robinson to be that big body in certain matchups as the 3rd C in case Poeltl gets hurt.

Trade Dick for a 1st next year.

Sign Orlando for the #3C

The money saved between the 2 gets us out of the tax. And we clear playing time for wings. And have 2 1sts next year.

he was a terrible player who couldn't learn any systems since he joined the team.

And yet he impacted winning off the bench more than most. He has his flaws but he also has his strengths that cant be taught. Hes a great minimum type player to have imo.

You happy with Mamu?

I am.

Had to find you to ask...lol.

Ideally, hes a 3rd C on a good team but I like rolling the dice on a guy who can blow up with a bigger role. I still think we're one injury to Poeltl away from having to tank the season.

Ideally your backup should be able to help offset that considering Poeltl is only a role player. For that reason, I would still want to add a big body like Orlando Robinson who could step in for certain matches or if Poeltl gets hurt

You’re likely right, but I’d keep him over Lawson who is so far down the depth chart it isn’t even funny.

IQ/Shead/Martin
RJ/Agbaji/Dick/Walter
Ingram/Battle
Barnes/CMB
Poeltl/Mamu/Mogbo

Feels like Boucher fits in at the 3rd string PF perfectly.

You forgot Temple

But also added Martin who might be a 2-way
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Making up fake scenarios to take victory laps is wild.

Awesome I was just looking at him last 2 days as he is legit C and we should see if we can get his 3s from 2 a game to 3-4 and he would help a little stretch. Writing on wall for Chris B some time so drafting PF and signing C just reinforces that.

Good pickup for now. Stop gap solution (unless he thrives in Darko's system).

They have done a great job of creating depth & movable parts, while also collecting some.talented youth.

This team is going to be super fun to watch next season. That's all I want at this point. Cheer for a youngish team that is legitimately pushing for the playoffs.

Looks like a team with depth. The East is wild open this year. We might have chance for the playoffs.

reading the spurs reddit they think he's a terrible defender

you pair a stretch big with a defensive PF like CMB or Mogbo to make it work

Well that worked well with Kelly Olynyk. Let us try it again.

but needed someone that can uphold the defense somewhat when poeltl isnt playing. From what i have read so far, he doesnt seem to be good at D. But i hope i am wrong.
