LeBron if he’s on the move once again holds the cards in the East. Ironically Cleveland would walk to the finals with him but they are already in the 2nd apron and can’t pull off a move for him without completely gutting their roster.
Put LeBron here in Miami, and not only do we have the East’s best roster, but we will also getting the NBA doing backflips to make sure they get LeBron in the finals at least 1 more time for the ratings.
I also wouldn’t mind the Heat turning things over to Zo, UD, Wade, AND LeBron as they phase into the next generation of front office management. LeBron has already expressed a desire to be involved with Inter Miami, he could also get a partial ownership stake in the Miami Heat. LA is fun when you’re in the mix of it on the day to day but if you’re going to retire Miami offers all the same amenities with a little bit more privacy for somebody like LeBron. I think I could see the family setting up for retirement down here.
Get Klutch and Rich Paul down here and construct the next iteration of NBA dynasties. All those guys know the Heat and Pat Riley way, but now we just put a new age spin on the tried and proven formula.
I don’t see James getting out of basketball completely when he does stop playing
This sounds like a nice fantasy but no way he comes back
If he’s leaving LA where else is he really going to go? Cleveland is in the 2nd Apron they can’t aggregate salaries. He’s not going to stay in the West.
It’s so realistic that it almost feels too far fetched, but I think if Miami really wants him and Pat Riley personally goes out of his way to make it happen it in the cards. Make no mistake when we are talking about Pat we are talking about an aging man who vey much cares about his legacy, and this is in line with that goal.
Pat went out of his way in his presser to talk about such a thing, and a few years ago was even fined about talking about such a scenario with LeBron. The fact that we didn’t go in on the KD deal after all the hype around it should be sending off alarm bells, also the way the league is moving right now around FA speaks to something big coming, and a LeBron move back out East falls right in line with it.
