I’m ok with the moves. Also was ok with trading Giannis. Wasn’t really ok with the gap year plan of running out Giannis, Bobby, Trent, AJG, and Kuzma.

But waiving Dame probably means these next couple years are the last hurrah.

Leveraging Kuzma's salary plus the 2031 1st was always gonna be the avenue to a legit roster upgrade, and that's become a necessity with these other moves now.

My fear is they think Kuzma will be the guy and not look to trade him

My fear, too. But Kuzma should be no more than the 4th big. We have 3 interchangeable pairings we can make now with Giannis, Myles and Bobby. He should never see his time on the floor at the wing spot or with Giannis. Not to mention he’s the 3rd highest paid player on the team still, that didn’t change through this whole chaotic start to free agency. He’s gotta go. This is on Doc now and I should clarify, that’s my biggest fear.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

So much for that packaged deal. Aside from that, it's warranted.
Sorry forgot the word can. lol But we would have to pick up his option to trade him right?

Yea he’s fine but Idk if he’s that much of an upgrade to Brook to warrant all the stuff we had to do to get him here. He might honestly just be Brook of a year or two ago.

The Brook of eight years ago...not a year or two. But yes, that's the plan.

It would be like if you took Brook from 8 years ago, then had Brook tweak his game a bit to be an even better fit with Giannis.

That is what current Miles Turner is.

Like I said in my previous post. Turner is a high quality winning player, but what makes the move really great for us is the fit.

You guys care way too much about what "the media" thinks. Pina is a clown but you can objectively critique this move as being panicky depending on what else happens in the next week. If they can add a legit wing upgrade over Kuzma and somehow kick Doc to the curb before the 2026 playoffs, that'll go a long way towards rejuvenating my optimism.

The thing with Turner is the fact that he is a really good player, but what makes it a great move is the fit.

Waiving Dame is the ultimate addition by subtraction move. And pairing Giannis and Turner might be the ultimate They both make each other better move.

Doing both of those things in 1 day is Wizardry IMO.

I'm not 100% with Dame being addition by subtraction until I see what we end up with at the PG position. We have KPJ and no one as of now. I do think that Dame was not a good fit, and I think the team deciding to back Giannis no matter what and get him the best help they can every year is a good move.

What I do agree with, wholeheartedly, is that Myles Turner is a dream fit. He is young Brook Lopez with actual lateral movement defensively. He can also shoot the 3 at the same or better level. Incredible addition. 10/10, no notes.

This team looks like a team that can actually play grind you down defense, and that is how we really blew teams out under Budenholzer. Hopefully they can get another point guard and can move the 2031 draft pick to bring in a more natural 3 for the team.

I know people will likely say no, but what about Westbrook? If he could slow up on the 3s why not add the other playmaker the Bucks need?

It's just funny to point out any time the Bucks make a move, he's at the forefront of criticism. He can't let his Celtics bias write an article that doesn't include some type of backhanded comment. His opinion doesn't mean much more than being a punching bag.

I am certainly glad that both Giannis and the Bucks give zero f*cks about what the national media writes, says, pontificates, and postulates. I've always been team "Keep Giannis". He's such a special player and, quite frankly, I think it's easy to take him for granted. He's an uber-10000-watt mega star that LOVES MILWAUKEE and is loyal to a fault. He's the ultimate unicorn, especially for a market like Milwaukee. You ride that until the wheels fall off.

Happy that we get to watch something new next year. But I will not get too excited like I did with the Dame trade. Lots of ifs and Doc is still here. Horst needed to do something and he did. But I will save the evaluation untill
next year.

Hell no. Not with Doc still coaching the Bucks.

There is a scenario where you could make a case for Westbrook being a positive player for us off the bench if we had a competent head coach.

But Doc treating and playing the 2026 version of Westbrook like he is still the 2012 version of Westbrook would be the most Doc Rivers thing ever.

It's bad enough Doc still has Kuzma and Prince, I don't even want to imagine a world where we add the 2026 version of Russell Westbrook to that.

I refuse to read or listen to anything Pina. The moves today aren’t about panicking but they are short sighted and stem from us having no actual plan besides trying to look like we want to win for Giannis.
