Khris's body broke down...none of them were superstars, but the pieces fit. Is Turner a superstar? No, but his fit is undeniable. KPJ has the potential to be another second-tier star role player. Now we just need one more.

It's like if you sucked at basketball and went to the park to play a pick-up game, but the other 4 guys on your team were so good that you almost couldn't help but look at least halfway decent.

That's my hope for Kuzma, that he is surrounded by so many quality players on the floor, he can't help but be decent....lol. Giannis, Turner if KPJ can make a leap ect.

The Bucks might not have a 2nd star, but we have accumulated some high quality players around Giannis now.

Can we use Micic salary in a deal? If so Kuzma and Micic for Wiggins works. They get cap relief of Micic deal and then declining Kuzma salary. Might be an option

I agree. I didn't watch every single game the past few years like I used to but I don't think I ever once saw that guy happy.

You could also frame that story in another way, that Giannis is so good and dominant that you just need people a few guys that won't F it up for him and get in his way.

2025
Myles: +3.1
Brook: -16.4

2024
Myles: +6.5
Brook: -19.9

I still think Brook was the bigger issue with the Dame fit than Giannis. Just a lot of him standing next to Dame on the perimeter. Defensively the league adjusted to his drop and just spammed floaters and threes against us. We had to lead the league in floaters against.

If they could get another wing defender and a back up point guard the roster would be looking pretty good.

I think we likely signed GTJ using Non-Bird Rights, allowing us to offer him 120% of his minimum and up to 5% annual raises. Based on 7 years experience, his year 1 minimum is $3,080,921. 120% of that is $3,697,105.20. With a 5% annual raise, the result is $7,579,065.66 over 2 years, which I believe is pretty much exactly what was reported. So I don't think any of the Room Exception is used on him.

Even if he weren't that much better than Brook (who, you know, was great btw and we're discussing in his appreciation thread whether his number should be retired) we got the idea player at C with a timeline that matches Giannis. I get being concerned about the lost money on how we managed it, but the team looks much better today than we all thought it would this season, even before we see what else Horst is cooking. Now, a few years from now who knows? But we waited 50 years to get another player on Giannis' level so I also get striking while the iron is hot.

Doc at least finally figured out how to win and Kuzma wasn’t involved so I’m fine with that.

I’m not giving up the ‘31 first for Herb Jones. I think we can do better than that.

Yup and playoffs are all that matters
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Makes sense. That leaves a portion of the room exception available to sign a player up to 3/11. Maybe that’s the plan for Rollins?

There's not like a snow balls chance in hell Brooklyn has the cap space and would then would claim Lillard correct?

If I count it right with small moves Horst can have Turner’s money declining. That would be huge moving forward.

Another option would be trading that first for 3 random first from a team like OKC and parsing those picks out? Who do you have in mind for a target?

Figured I would chime in for old times sake as an OG. Congrats on all the moves and to regain some hope for those that still follow closely. Hope this works out well and we all can celebrate playoff wins going forward.

It’s an interesting thought, he played for Doc in LA right? I don’t think Giannis likes him but you could see how they make it work

Caught up.

Ballsy move by Horst to try to correct a ballsy move by Horst. I'm more concerned about the potential loss of Rollins, honestly.
