In denial by keeping their top two player. At least one more season. Nobody desires a rebuild

Scottie is awful, he’s not even a developing 2nd option. Dick is a C tier prospect. #9 turned into a pick that Raps fans are already questioning lmao this is a garbage rebuild package
And yet, it would be better for the Bucks future than wasting Giannis' tail of his prime.
And again, I said right in the post you could get a better deal from other teams. Read my whole post.
Why is not winning a Championship considered a failure? Do all teams but 1 fail every year?
I think the Bucks winning some playoff series would be more than enough to justify keeping Giannis from a basketball and business perspective

This is a desperation move and no I don't want Giannis on the Sixers or think they can trade for him. I am just reading the writing on the wall
He’s leaving bro trust me lmao sure Jan
Giannis is the one star player I could see not leaving, but that isn't the point.
The point is the Bucks roster is horrible, they have no way to improve it, they arguably got worse since last season, and their only remaining move is to rip off the bandaid.
Sure - give this giannis + turner + g-leaguers strategy a go; but my guess is you are at best a .500 team and Giannis (and maybe Turner to) are on a different team at this time next year. Maybe even by the deadline.

Sure bud enjoy the Raps with their rebuild for the next 5+ years
Why can't you just stay on topic and discuss the Bucks? What does Toronto have to do with this?

I never considered not winning a championship a failure - but year over year there should be some realistic path you can see that could be made to make it a true contender.
As it stands now MIL is an old team, with very little in the picks department, that is capped out, with only 2 NBA caliber starting players, etc. There is really no avenues to monumental improvement.
MIL is not even a top 4 team in the East. There is no guarantee or even reasonable expectation they will "win playoff series'"
Y'all just finished the season as a #5 seed, and got 4-1'd by Indiana, and debateably got worse.

Please explain to me how it got worse.

Old team? The vast majority of their rotation is in their 20s

Well, Dame was a 25ppg guy on 62TS% and Lopez was still a solid center. Now they're both gone, and all you have is Turner.
Now you have a superstar in Giannis, and a role player in Turner. After that, you have no one that should even be starting on a serious team, and absoluetly no one to provide offence outside of praying that Kevin Porter Jr somehow figures it out.

Damian Lillard is about to turn 35 and just had DVT followed by an Achilles tear. Pretending like he’s going to play this season, or ever going to be close to the same player, is delusional.
Brook Lopez is 37 and couldn’t play in the playoffs against half of the league because he can only play drop.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.

The topic is keeping Giannis instead of praying that somehow Scottie Barnes, Dick, CMB, and middling 1sts turn into a competitive team. That’s Raps fans right now and pretty sure they aren’t loving it

I was talking about from last year to this year. Last time I checked, Dame was healthy to begin last season.
I wasn't saying bring Dame back. I was saying the 2026 Bucks are gonna be worse than the 2025 Bucks.
GiannisAnte34 wrote:flow wrote:GiannisAnte34 wrote:
Which games was it evident that Turner can’t defend in the playoffs?
Start with the Knicks series. Whenever Mitchell Robinson was on the floor.
.
I agree Towns looked good against Turner but Mitchell Robinson is in the game purely to rebound and defend. Other than that, Robinson was a negative for the Knicks so I don’t see your point

So, you’re choosing to conveniently ignore a potential career-ending injury for your argument’s sake?
There is no point comparing the roster to the start of last season considering Dame isn’t going to play this season.

Part of defending your position as a center is keeping your man off the offensive glass. Turner offered no resistence to Robinson whatsoever. Robinson treated him like a nat.
