And its highly unlikely Dame plays at all next season. Thats a 10-12 month recovery, no sense to even try to push in April when he’d have the additional summer months to get his body ready.
Dame could take a full year and return in the final stretch for the playoffs and be a bench support guy. The Achilles injury recovery is difficult but now it’s more of a 6-9 month deal for most guys who aren’t super tall. I’d expect him back in February or March on a heavy minute restriction if he’s on a team with a legit shot to win it all.
I fully disagree that the LeBron stuff is fantasy, I’ve been watching him and his people move now for 20 years. The way they put out what they put out the words they said, the respect given to the Lakers organization, it all points to an exit, but trying to do it in a stand up way.
Dawg, Dame ain't playing this year. You dont come back from an achilles tear in less than a year, especially at his age and this sport. Aaron rodgers had a "miracle" recovery and he didn't play in a game for a full year. Sure he practiced after 3 months but the dude just throws footballs. He had countless setbacks and no one saw him sprinting or cutting far more into 6 months. Tatum Hali and Dame are all done for the entire year. If he had torn it in the beginning of the season then yeah, maybe.
Bucks would never do what they did if dame was coming back for playoffs much less all star break.
Kobe was back in 8 months off his, while being older and bigger than Dame.
Dame could take a full 11 months and still be available for the last few weeks of the season/playoffs
