I think Boucher and Precious Achiewa are still available, maybe bring back Bagles as a super cheap backup? PF market is slim picking left.

We gave more to Duncan Robinson than the Kings gave to Schroder. What an absolute joke.

Could bbpaul be promised some more minutes? He could be in the rotation.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
Feels like way too much for someone just slightly better than THJ.
It's incredibly possible that these moves push Ausar back to the bench, which I don't love but I think is something we might end up seeing.
C: Duren / Stew
F: Harris / Ausar
F: Duncan / Holland
G: Ivey / LeVert
G: Cade / Sasser
If that's not the deal, then we're going with Robinson or Holland as essentially the backup PF.
C: Duren / Stew
F: Harris / Holland
F: Ausar / Robinson
G: Ivey / LeVert
G: Cade / Sasser
Sasser pretty firmly cemented into that 10th spot IMO someone who maybe doesn't play every game if coach decides to go with a 9 man rotation at times but lots of nights might get 10-15 MPG.

Font is listed as 6'8" and 210 pounds and Duncan Robinson is listed as 6'7" and 215 pounds. Both are undersized "big" forwards and more of small forwards but both are also capable of playing the four against most bigger forwards in the league. Obviously they aren't going to stack up against a player like Zion or Giannis.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
I’m guessing, as of now, if we aren’t acquiring a backup 4 that will actually get minutes….
PG: Cade 36, Ivey 12 (tho he’ll share ballhandling duties with Caris when he’s PG)
SG: Ivey 20, Caris 20, Holland 8
SF: Ausar 20, Robinson 20, Holland 8
PF: Tobias 30, Ausar 12, Stewart 6
C: Duren 28, Stewart 20
Spot/foul trouble/injury minutes for Sasser, Lanier, Klintman, Reed
I don’t love it, and I want more minutes for Ron. But this looks like what we have right now. Nine guys getting regular minutes.

Say what you will about TL but I think he’s been pretty good about operating with the cap.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
Yeah definitely feeling a lot better knowing it's only fully guaranteed in the first year.

Ok, so the partial year two and TO year three makes the DR deal a whole lot more palatable.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
If we didn't have to give up a 2nd rounder or anything to get them to take back Font, Miami actually did Robinson a solid to get him paid by another team. Likely because Robinson opted out and saved them most of $20 million this season when he clearly isn't a $20 million per year player.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
It'll be interesting to see how much of year 2 for Duncan Robinson is partially guaranteed. I have a feeling the deal was made to give him his full $20 million he turned down this year from Miami.
Year 1 $16 million
Year 2 $16 million (but $4 to $6 million guaranteed only if waived by June 28th)
Year 3 $16 million (fully non guaranteed)
I'm guessing its going to look something like that.

Yeah, I'd be curious to know this too.
Why didn't he stay in Miami? That makes me speculated that the total guarantee (combining year one and whatever he got in year two) is probably more than he would have gotten in Miami. Not necessarily drastically more.

Everybody wants to talk about the ability to stretch the floor; however, what's the point if you can't defend?? This trade literately says TL has given up flexibility to do anything. We still don't have a legitimate 4 who can start or fill in for Harris.

It's been said we have 19mil in capspace. Levert takes up 14. 5 leftover plus Fontecchio 8, wouldn't that mean we could only give him $13mil in yr 1?
Does this mean Reed gets signed into part of the Room exception? Or BAE? I freakin always forget which one we get

I don't know what we'll do without the lockdown defenders Beasley and THJ.
To be clear, I wish we could have kept Beasley, but I don't think Levert/Robinson as a combo are a downgrade defensively from those two.
