Would the CBA even allow it?

I'm a Laker fan, and I would never, ever make that trade.

You'd have two overpaid max players around Luka, and no assets to get a competent center.

I would trade for Derrick White ( better fit and better salary), by the way, if I can get a center ... but do you see the Celtics giving the Lakers a chance to catch them in rings count ?

I know it's the offseason now, but good lord is this some straight up trash thread nonsense.

trade proposal sends Jaylen Brown to the Lakers for Reaves, Hachimura, one first-round pick, and two second-round picks.

Should Celtics do it? I know Lakers would do it.

If the Celtics trade a two-way wing for Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and a future first, Brad Stevens must be drunk.

Reaves is the least valuable archetype in the league. His only saving grace is he’s a free throw merchant who gets every call. Caleb love can do what he does for a fraction of the price

The Lakers can likely get Sam Hauser and maybe Pritchard….LA might need to throw in another FRP

Spoiler:
They act like, Reeves, Hachimura and 1 first is some grandfather that no one can refuse

I'd prefer to not be further tortured by this NBA offseason but thanks.

Lakers and Heat are in a class of their own when valuing their own players

People acting like it's so good for the Lakers surprise me.

Jaylen may have health issues of his own going forward and he makes too much money.

And he's overeated.

Stop smoking that crack, Caleb Hightower. It really feels like sports writers have some kind of contractual obligation to write at least one article per month with a silly Lakers trade scenario like "The Lakers could trade for this 23 year old All Star for Rui Hachimura, Dalton Knecht and a 2nd round pick. The other team receives 2 exciting prospects and a future pick to start their rebuild."

But maybe the Lakers can even go bigger. Brown is only a 4 time All Star and Finals MVP, while Reaves had a "career year" that would rank as Brown´s 7th best season. Maybe if Giannis gets available they can make an interesting package around Reaves, Hachimura and Knecht, how could the Bucks say no to that  .

“With Jayson Tatum sidelined for much of next season due to injury, Boston seems laser-focused on youth and flexibility. (Austin) Reaves, at just 27, fits that mold perfectly, and the bounty of draft picks this deal would generate could be a goldmine for rebuilding and developing talent.”

Reaves is one year younger than Brown...

The "Bounty" of picks: a 2040 first and two seconds

Jaylen Brown isn't Luka Doncic. He's an inefficient volume scorer who's owed almost $240 million over the next 4 years.

If Brad Stevens is smart, he will trade him now while he still has value. His value is going to fall off a cliff next year when he isn't playing on a stacked team.

Yep and Hachimura is so incredibly versatile that the Wizards decided to trade him for Kendrick Nunn´s expiring contract and 3 second round picks, when he almost was the only young prospect they had on the roster at that time  .

Sure, Reaves is much cheaper, for now. Then he hits the market next summer and you have to deal with that. No thanks

Nope the Lakers would still need to add 17 Million in other contracts. So the 1st rounder seems a bit much, since the Celtics will receive 2 more Lakers superstars like Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, or Jarred Vanderbilt.

Jaylen Brown is like a top 50-ish player making top 10 money. This isn't bad value for him.

This is awful value for him what are him talking about.
