If he wants the east and one last shot at a title he'll probably go back home to the Cavs.

OG+Mitch makes the most sense to me. I think Jalen rather sacrifice OG than have to give up both of his Nova boys in Josh and Mikal. Also, OG has a really big contract that is much harder to navigate with these 2nd apron restrictions
We sacrifice our two best defensive players in OG and Mitch but the depth on our team would still be insane with LeBron
If NY is considered impossible to win a championship in, then at least we give ourselves the best opportunity possible doing something like this
Thats still crazy to do that for basically one year of LeBron. Lakers would need to send draft picks for even to remotely consider that.
I mean I can see it from the Lakers POV. You couldn't find two better fits next to Luka than those two. But they aren't getting off that easy for 1 season of LeBron.

Unless spotrac is inaccurate right now, there were multiple scenarios that worked for LeBron in their updated trade machine

i'd definitely do KAT for lebron.
knicks cant win with KAT taking up major minutes. too much of a liability. i don't want lebron, but KAT needs to go. so i'd be on board with KAT for lebron
do not want to see OG go, ever

Easier said than done to find a legitimate 3&D center or develop one. Giannis can't play without one. Bucks jumped on this because Myles Turner is the only one
Other than Brook Lopez, Al Horford is also too old
The rest are bigs who can shoot like KAT and Vucevic but can't defend, or bigs who can defend but can't shoot like most centers

The package I always felt worked best for the 50+M star has been : Mikal (24.9), Hart (19.4), Mitch (13)
Salaries need to match within 10% maybe needing a 3rd team but LeBrons incoming would be: 52.6 which is within like 9% AND frees up about an extra 5M for us under the cap to sign another player.
So it'd end up being LebRon and some otherlikely vet player to sign for like 5M....Trent Jr, Simmons, Oubre etc

i dont mind seeing mitch go, because he's made of glass - albeit he is great to root for on the rare occasions that he plays.
but mikal and OG are the guys i'd never want to move, unless it's for a guy like wemby, SGA. Hart i dont want to move, unless it's for a major upgrade.
i just want to see KAT gone, otherwise it's nothing but second round exits for the knicks

I mean under Mike Brown or a better coach than Thibs I think KAT can absolutely work. Ideally we would still need a defensive elite rim protector though...

it'd have to be gobert or bust.
i think the only coach that could be a good fit for KAT would be Mr. Rogers

i guess that makes sense. you do need a big to stretch the floor, if your top guy needs space to operate to the paint, like giannis.
turner is a great pickup for them, or any team for that matter.
i would've loved to have had turner, especially if it means moving KAT. KAT's defense ruins any offense he brings. his teammates routinely grew frustrated with his, not even lack of ability, but no ability at all, to play defense or team defense

Its why I dont think trading KAT for Giannis would automatically make the Knicks contenders. Bucks more than anyone have to know that you have to build around Giannis a certain way. Otherwise they wouldnt be so desperate to acquire Myles Turner. It is much easier to acquire defensive bigs that cant shoot.
Mavs are.gonna run into this issue too if AD can't knock down more than 30 percent of his threes, while playing alongside Gafford or Lively. I dont see one successful NBA team running lineups without four 3pt shooters at all times. Evan Mobley made it a point to improve his 3pt shooting g to fit better with Jarrett Allen.
