It’s insane. I’m happy for Duncan though and yeah his agent is a beast

Then I go look up the transactions that actually happened…and it’s a bunch of boring marginal player free agent deals? From the reaction here I thought we gave up Ware and draft picks for something, or missed a clear superstar, or something crazy like that.

Just because a couple posters are trying to have perspective, that isn’t silencing anyone.

You’re dealing with a piece of the fandom that doom scrolls Twitter and buys into the BS about the FO. They think 20 something year old players that have never accomplished anything but have the potential to be good in 5-6 years when you have to pay them max money are the move.

Maybe we should be more like the UTAH Jazz

Some Detroit posters are saying Robinson's 2nd year is partially guaranteed and the 3rd is not guaranteed. If that is accurate, then that means that Robinson probably has ~$20M -$25M guaranteed.

I mean without putting any thought into it OKC and Houston both bottomed out after the stuff you mentioned that is hindering us over a decade later and are currently better and also built far better for the future.

I have definitely been spoiled, mainly due to the greatness of Wade, but that doesn’t mean I can’t point out incompetence when I see it.

Houston is an interesting test case for people you want to bottom out. After being god awful for 3 years would you be behind giving FVV and Dillon Brooks level players a combined 60 and 62 million dollars in years 1 and 2 of new deals for the sake of culture?

Sure if it led to what they currently have

Its a bit premature to say that. Houston could end up not even making the Western conference finals with this build after alls said and done. The Heat made it to multiple finals and an ECF.

Look at what happened to the Celtics so quickly after they looked primed to dominate for years. It could be over for the Rockets quick too, especially when they have to start paying these players.

Duncan shot it pretty well here, all things considered, and the League still favors shooters. I hope he does even better in some smoother offenses and don't think he's massively overpaid. Cap goes up and contracts will too

Don't love Derozan's game, but get Wiggins and Rozier off this team and you won't get a mumble out of me

Must. Be. Acquired.

If Miami actually does acquire DeRozan, it'll be interesting to see what he costs (Rozier or Wiggins).

The big thing for me is DeRozan can really score the ball, and Miami desperately needs someone other than Herro who can get his own offense and create for others.

Under contract until 2027. To what end?

This is the move to make if the goal is to be the 7-8 seed
