Probably about playing time. Spo’s been cutting his minutes.

Thst said, he may not get the 24 mpg he got last year here, but the college connection could mean something to him. Also, he was born in Maine and grew up entirely in the upper Northeast, so cold weather isn’t a big deal to him.

Or maybe he just wanted to play with a real PG. :)

He gets paid millions to do his job.

Let him work, I'm sure he's aware of the construction of his own roster

Hopefully Ausar becomes a complete SF with real shooting and Ivey learns how to play as a legit floor general PG.

Man what a disappointing FA. It obvious its a punt but the team doesn't have the talent to do anything in the playoffs with this roster (worse than last year).

Its a down year too. Haliburton out, Tatum out. The East is wide open. Not the year to punt.

This is fine. Volume shooter to replace Beasley.

Schroder-LeVert
Beasley-Robinson

*sigh* At some point, Langdon is going to have to address the PF position. When that will be is anyone's guess.

You say that but our previous GM brought in about 10 different bigs reclamation projects. Lots of GMs get paid millions and make some real head scratching choices.

Harris is yet another year older. July 12th he turns 33, which is not the age you are looking for super heavy minutes PF with Duncan Robinson (?) as his backup.

I didn't say that to say every move he's made or will make will be good - just saying I'm sure it's obvious to him just like us that we need to get a big.

We don't know of any trades being discussed or anything. Moves are always coming out of nowhere with no prior leaks.

If this is what we head into the season with, then the doom and gloom is justified, but it's still early in the off season.

Honestly, I'm warming up to the Robinson trade! I believe had we had Duncan instead of Beasley in the playoffs, we beat the Knicks even without Stew.

Just saw THJ signed with Denver! Does this mean is dad is moving to Denver as well :D

Bubble guys:
SG/SF Brice Williams
PF/C Dawson Garcia

That's still a deep roster just like last year but really need Ivey to be that #2 guy because not a lot of scoring talent to help Cade. Poor Sasser lol, just when it looked like he was going to get some playing time when Schroder moved on he's right back to the end of the bench. I truly believe he's a solid NBA scorer sparkplug on a lot of teams but just can't find a spot here.

Levert isn't a point guard! Sasser will get minutes there imo

Im forever the optimist but I'm pretty happy with this.
Ultimately its all about our starters. And we get a big improvement going from Tim to Ivey.
Our bench will feature Stew and Holland who will more than cover for Robinsons D and then Levert with one of Cade or ivey. Me likey

so we now have 12 players (13 once lanier signs) and we still have needs for a "true" backup PG and backup 4.

the entire free agent list looks pretty dismal, for PG the only ones i'd be interested in are brogdon or dinwiddie. both are over the hill but they're vets that can run an offense and bring good size at the PG position. pretty sure we're going to have to trade for a backup PF, the only ones left in free agency are 3rd-string calibre.

I don’t see the roster being worse than last year, it’s not TL fault Beasley decided to bet on games. All things considered, i think it worked out just fine. We weren’t going to be signing any big names anyways.

Ivey back, Stew healthy, Levert and Duncan R. in, Shroeder, THJ, Beez and Tek out.
Im liking it.

Feels like we are every bit as competitive as last years roster imo.

Eta: Tek is addition by subtraction imo.

TL more than salvaged a bad situation. Levert is considerably better that Hardaway and Robinson may not duplicate Beasley's once-in-lifetime-feat but he'll give the Pistons firepower from the 3. He's also a better on D than Beasely. Now if TL can land a solid PF Pistons will be in contention again in the East.
