I am relieved. I was worried brad would go get a starting PF or starting C

A 4th string SF is exactly what was needed.

Pg: White/pritchard/davidson
Sg: simons/scheierman/hugo
Sf: brown/hauser/walsh/minot/shulga/norris/peterson
Pf: niang/Tillman
C: queta/garza/williams

My eye test tells me he's better :D

Eh, weak argument.

I think it's debatable who's better.

Of course Peterson has better ball skills (dribble/pass/shoot) and is more polished offensively.

But:

a) Minott is about 3 years younger so even if you think Peterson is better today, in the long term chances are Minott ends up being better

b) Minott appears to be a much better rebounder, much better defender, stronger physically and like 10x more athletic

I like Peterson but he's almost 26 yrs old, has only been on a 2-way contract & hasn't yet gotten consistent rotation mins in the league. Minott is 22 and has more upside.

And more experience…he has put up really good numbers when he has gotten a chance.

Probably more from practice. They've shared the floor for only 200 minutes total over the past 3 season - and definitely not on our 2nd unit. They were our 13th and 14th men.

I’ve been a Walsh fan but can easily transfer my allegiance. Is Walsh’s deal for the coming season guaranteed?

I would assume no. It's pretty rare for guys to play SL who already have 3+ NBA seasons under their belt - unless they're fighting for a roster spot/guaranteed contract - which Minott is not.

Polished Jordan Walsh
Seems like a high IQ player based on the "best of" clip in the thread.

In Brad we trust.

Wolves fans say he's low IQ and that is one of the biggest issues. I guess we'll see.

A bit taller and looks more suited to play the 4 than Walsh.

Knuckleheadedness is one of the tougher things to grow out of.

But maybe they see him more as an early Nesmith.

Still scrawny for the 4.
