That can get us to the 6th seed. This team should be better than the Pistons. We are going to need Barnes, RJ and the other younger players to be better and produce more.

I'm usually very rational when it comes to our team at this point and Im gonna be very honest here. There is not a single team in the East that concerns me. I think this team stacks up very well with every one of them. Even if we get injuries the team has a good young player at every single position ready to show out. They also have tons of depth at the wing. This is the Indiana/OKC/Houston model weve seen here from these successful teams recently and Toronto has nailed it. Young vets with Ingram and Poeltl. Young talent at every position keeping things competitive ready to take a larger role. And tons of versatility.

Really anything less than 50 wins would be a dissapointment to me and I know thats a huge leap but the talent is there. I think Quickley is the key. If he stays healthy I see this team able to be a home seed in the East.

This is the type of time I'm on too. Let's get it

Great signing. This is going to be a small deal that really pays off and we’ll have to pay him next year.

You just extended Poetl, drafted CMB and are building around Barnes. All three 3 of those guys are ideal for covering up Mamu’s weaknesses while needing his strengths.

He defended Fs better than Cs. He held Fs to a 46 fg%, Cs shot 60%.

You play him for his offense and stretch big ability and just hope he's a net neutral defensively. He's an offensive signing.

He's Kelly O replacement.

Maybe he should take all his free throws that way considering he's a career 73.1% shooter.

If that's the case, so should RJ at 69.7% lol

73% as a C is above average my friend, last year league avg for a C was 71.5%.

Yes, he's good for a C, but he's pretty bad relative to his 3pt%.

Well done. So many entitled people jump straight to overwhelmed before they have declared their status as whelmed. How does one compete with that?

Just like those showoffs who are overjoyed.

Yes, he's good for a C, but he's pretty bad relative to his 3pt%.

He isnt a perfect player but he's a true shooter. This isnt a big like Jonas Valanciunas that will knock down shots teams dare him to shoot. He was able to space the floor since he was 19 and you have to close out which adds an element other bigs in his price range don't. He was this years "Danny Wolf" in college. He's very physical and aggressive. Not a great defender but will give you effort and physicality which is half the battle. Hes a good passer which seems to be our teams theme offensively.

He's a risk taker for good or better or worse, very turnover prone, foul prone. This got him benched with Pop. It will be interesting to see how Darko handles this. A coach like Nick Nurse would encourage this and always let his guys take rythm shots. But he gets benched then he gets emotional and he gets lazy when his minutes are inconsistent which they are going to be most likely with all our depth. The key here will be keeping him locked in even if he isnt playing every night and if Pop struggled to do it, it maybe tough for Darko. I'm betting they have a quiet under the table promise to sit out Poeltl for some time to keep him engaged. Like listen your minutes will be inconsistent for some time but later in the season we will give you a 10 game stretch where we start you and play you 30 mpg as long as you stay ready.

Georgian athletes are taking over right now though and they have tight community so there should be plenty of inspiration. Ilia Topuria, Merab Devalishvilli, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Eh, not really. Average 3p % for C's last season was 35%, he shot 37%. If anything he's good on both accounts.

Only good 3pt shooting centres take 3s. Compare his free throw percentage to the other 3pt shooting centres.

I wasn't complaining, I really like the signing. I was making a joke about his free throw percentage being decidedly lower than it should be relative to his 3pt percentage.
