Wasn't on here yesterday, but what do you guys think of Valkyries waiving JVL after coming back from Euro basket and basically finding out when she landed

I missed the game. How much of the Lynx scoring only 59 was them being trash, and how much was due to the Fever's defense?

Fever played some pretty darn good defense.

The Fever with defense is a formidable team, even with bad/absent Clark. And a true contender with good Clark. But one game at a time ... they have a lot yet to prove on that front. So until further notice, I'm treating that as a one-off.

But hey, congrats to them!

I think the clips of Caitlin at practice was gamesmanship. I dont feel she was ever going to play yesterday.

Maybe the Lynx sacrificed $500K in hopes that the Cup loser keeps winning the WNBA title.

Good question. Statistically, A'ja, Chelsea, and Jackie are fairly similar to last year. But Jewell is a step down from Plum, and the team has lost depth. That's not an entire explanation, of course -- just the first-line considerations.

How long until A'ja asks out? This Aces team is falling around her. In the blowout against Indy, she went 9/18 for 29 points. The next highest was all of six (Loyd). In fact:
Wilson - 50% FG, 11/13 FT
Aces - 7/43 FG (16%), 3/16 3P (19%).

Who would trade, and what, for her?

Phoenix normally has a pretty good defense, but the Wings dropped 98 on them. They've now won 5 of 7.

The Aces game on June 13 was the game before this run started. They were crushing the Aces, and gave up a big lead in the last 3 minutes. The infamous game where DiJonai took a critical play off to scream at her own coach (That was the last game DiJonai started and she's missed a handful of others like last night).

Now, all 3 rookies are cooking. They might have fleeced the Storm in the Li Yueru trade.

Who knows how it goes, but it's so good that they are at least playing solid, watchable basketball.
