Tim Hardaway Jr., Nuggets Agree To One-Year Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jul 1, 2025 8:58 pm

Tim Hardaway Jr. and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum. Hardaway was in the final season of his four-year, $75 million deal with an expiring contract of $16.2 million.

Hardaway appeared in 77 games with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.0 minutes. Hardaway shot 36.8 percent on three-pointers.

Hardaway is 33 years old and will give the Nuggets veteran wing depth. The Nuggets have also added Cam Johnson, Bruce Brown and Jonas Valanciunas this offseason.

Best case scenario, THJ never plays a meaningful minute... But he does represent the depth that was severely lacking last season.

I guess this cements Bruce Brown as backup PG. I think you could do a lot worse than THJ as your 9th man, assuming Peyton Watson can play 25mpg in the upcoming season.

True, and that is my point: If THJ is their 9th man, they are contenders; If he's their 7th man, I have serious concerns!

Watch out now, looks like he’s 10th!

Duren/Reed
Harris/Stew
Thompson/Duncan
Ivey/THJ
Cade/Levert

That’s solid if unspectacular.
