Wonder if Jazz can’t find a suitor for that 22 mil John Collins if they would buy him out lol. I’d save my MLE to find out.

Morey just can't help himself. Every year he has to sign at least one trash old veteran that everyone knows is going to suck for "reasons"

Total waste of a roster spot.

Lowkey surprised Morey is still employed at this point. I guess since Harris bought the Skins he just kinda forgot about this dumpster.

Resigning the sharpshooter Gordon means no Lowry, right?

1 yr deal - there to be a mentor and familiar face for Edgecombe, totally fine with it.

He should be fired the very next second for simply doing this ...

The Gordon signing had to be pre-arraigned before he declined his player option. He declined the option, resigns at essentially the same price, but it somehow reduces our cap hit.

I’m totally fine with it. We were essentially stuck with him due to the player option but he did us a solid so we could claw back some cap space due to the CBA rules. Add in the fact that he’s got a preexisting mentor relationship with our new star guard we drafted with the #3 pick? Even better.

But if he plays any minutes I’ll be very mad.

I’m fine with Gordon, but unless he can hold his own at PF, he should be no more than a 3rd stringer on this team.

Off topic, but a guy I’d love to have on the team is Jaren Jackson Jr. I keep coming back to him, he just feels like the perfect power forward for this roster. He’d fit seamlessly next to Embiid, Boone, and Bona, and he’d also be great for our guards too because he can space the floor and be an effective screener due to his scoring threat. If you have him at PF, you can even now slide Grimes and Edwards to SF. The problem is, he’s expensive, and the Grizzlies seem to value him highly, maybe even more than Ja Morant.

Wasn't it widely rumored that he was the one that leaked the team meeting and Joel stuff? Surprised he wanted to return

Jabari Smith Jr could be a cheaper option, but Houston would be fools to trade him... I'm obviously a fan of that type of player

Yeah, for me, the holy grail of complementary players are those block & three 4/5s and the big guards who can defend, pass, shoot, and decent amount of on ball shotcreation. That’s what made the Celtics so tough, they had two of each type, while most teams are lucky to have one of each. If you can put four of those guys in a 5 man unit, you don’t even need a superstar alpha, they just make the game so much easier. But who knows.. maybe Embiid and Boone can be that block&3 4/5 for us.

And in OKC’s case, they had SGA so they were in another level.

At this point...I wonder what Daryl is actually offering him. Is he low balling or Grimes is trying to get an offer from Brooklyn for the absolute most they're willing to give him. He is probably waiting for them to stop making deals and focus on him

It's still early with Grimes. I just hope Morey is exploring every avenue, including a sign and trade.
