If only Precious had developed a three. His defense is very good. But a three isn't likely to come at this age. I hope he can still carve out a career, he's a good dude. Wonder if Miami would take him back.

Yeah I liked him really as well. Wishing him nothing but the best. It's crazy how in today's NBA anyone that can't shoot is already almost completely marginalized. 25 years ago someone like Precious could have easily been a 25minute player that brings defense, energy and some occassional scoring. To day? Much more difficult.

I still think between Hart and Mitch they will look at way to trade one for a 3-D forward. Mitch and Hart will be difficult to play together. Given that JC and Deuce also lack consistent shooting it poses a challenge. That can only work if they are 100% sure they'll go the big line-up so that the time Mitch and Hart are on the court is super limited. Like Mitch 22minutes in the starting line-up. And Hart 26minutes off the bench.

Brunson 33min./Deuce 15min.
Bridges 20min./JC 22min./Deuce 5min.
OG 14min./Bridges 10min./Hart 24min.
KAT 20min./OG 16min./Yabu 12min.
Mitch 22min./KAT 10min./Yabu 10min.

Brunson 33min.
Deuce 20min.
JC 22min.
OG 30min.
Bridges 30min.
Yabu 22min.
Mitch 22min.
KAT 30min.
Hart 24min.

Given injuries and load management everyone will be playing some more minutes anyways. One could probably sneak in Huk for 12minutes a game too.

That's a big drop in minutes for Hart. But likely possible because it was only Thibs who thought he needed so many minutes

But keep in mind injuries are going to increase those minutes. Like hart is likely to end up at his usual 28minutes, which is the right amount for him.

Hart played 30 MPG his first season with us, then 33 MPG last season. Ideally, he should be in that range so he can keep his energy up!

Honestly, it’s almost like Thibs got lazy - and just left Hart out there because he could.

I've been reading conflicting reports about his defense...I haven't watched enough of him game to game to know which are true, is it that he's inconsistent? What's the deal on that.

Work in progress? He has hardly played in this league to have much of a sample size. I read he doesn't offer much if any rim protection. That's really the only thing I have heard about his defense.

I think Boucher would’ve been our best bet either way.

His block on Wagner in the Olympics was a thing of beauty. There's a video on Youtube and it was also posted here in this thread. So he's got the physical talent, but no knowing if he's actually got the mindset to defend well.

Pretty quick for his size from what I see. Has some handles and can bulldoze to the rim once he gets a moving. Gets some nice blocks in those clips. He's a big body but, he can stretch the defense. His defense is the only area I haven't seen any clips on besides a couple of blocks.

I love the move. Hopefully he's not a turnstile or lazy defender. He can get a few boards as well it seems. Not really much sample size though. We may have found that Shart level breakout player on the cheap. I'm excited by the move.

With high BBIQ, good feet and mobility plus the effort applied to playing it he should be good at it unless his defensive awareness is crap like a former Knick that was about as oblivious on defense as I ever saw.

According to one of the Sixers podcasters Yabu hustles and is capable offensively, but he struggles to play defense and is a poor rebounder.
