Knicks should sign Ayton and buy this man a new king size bed.

agreed and if the Knicks weren't going to trade KAT for KD why would they then trade KAT for LeBron.

It's not going to happen because its just too damn risky....not only are you basically giving yourself 1 year your are now relying on Mitch to stay healthy too so its risky on two fronts. And we risk all that when you had a team that just missed the finals and the east is even more open than last year?

The players I listed prior are probably the ideal players to trade for for a 50+M star Mikal,Hart and Robinson work out to around 57-58 Mill. 2 are on last years of deals, one is super injury prone, and the other HArt can't shoot. LeBron is not a bad move for those 3.

LeBron at 52.6 will give us an additional 5M to spend because we need to salary match within 10%. This puts us right there around 8-9%. That extra 5 will be useful in picking up another player.

I get not wanting to do it, I do. But I wouldn't hate it if we pulled it off either. The line-up would be ferocious and LeBron has jived quite well with Brown as his HC.

Trading for LeBron at his salary would be stupid

But anyone saying they wouldn't want LeBron here on a minimum deal is just ridiculous. It won't happen, because he isn't getting waived, and we're not trading for him because it's too much salary to trade for

Y'all are the only fanbase out of 29 other teams who still take him not signing here in 2010 personally. Let it go lol.

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday

Has nothing to do with 2010.

LeBron is a certified herb. A soft and lame player and person who set the tone for a whole new generation of softness. I’m not even discussing his biggest flaw - his massive ego and his need to try to be the GM of every franchise he plays for. I’m not sure why anyone would want to put this dudes primadonna personality with a squad that is selfless and, by most accounts, has great chemistry as a team in terms of personalities meshing. Lebron is going to want all the spotlight on himself and the last thing we need with a new coach is more distractions and uncertainty.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Did Cole Anthony already sign somewhere else? That’s an intriguing fit

Our sole focus should be winning a chip.

I know we don't like LeBron but if he wins us a chip we gonna love him for that lol

KAT for Bron only makes sense if you can bring in a Quality Center to replace KAT on a Vet min. I proposed the Bron and Ayton thing in jest but that could really be a chip winning scenario. Ayton has connections to Mikal and he'd be given the starting role and chance to reclaim his career in NY.

KAT + Kolek for Bron and Bronny
Sign Ayton for the vet $2,296,274 cap hit
Sign Diawara to the 2nd round rookie exception (keep all the Frenchmen)
Renounce Kevin Mcullar Jr... (sorry, young blood)

Knicks Cap Sheet
25/26 Money:

1. Bron - $52,627,153
2. OG - $39,568,966
3. Brunson - $34,944,001
4. Mikal - $24,900,000
5. Hart - $19,472,240
6. Mitch - $12,954,546
7. Yabu - $5,685,000
8. Deuce - $4,333,333
9. Dadiet - $2,847,600
10. Clarkson -$2,296,274
11. Ayton - $2,296,274
12. Bronny - $1,955,378
13. Huk - $1,955,377
14. Diawara - $1,272,869 (2nd round Rookie Exception)
=
Total Salary: $207,108,011
2nd Apron is 207,824,000

The Knicks are $715,989 below the 2nd Apron.

C: Ayton/Mitch/Huk
PF: LeBron/Yabusele/Diawara
SF: OG/Hart/Dadiet
SG: Mikal/Deuce/Bronny
PG: Brunson/Clarkson/LeBron

That team will win the East in 2026 and can definitely win the title.

Bring in Mike Brown (Bron first coach?)
Bron in the Garden
Farewell tour at the Mecca
The King Conquerors NY
Last Dance type documentary
MSG printing money
Regular season tickets $300 on average min
Easy weak af west a blood bath

Bron hopefully runs it for 2 years
We draft Bryce it’s a familiar affair
We go back to back
3 Peat??? to give him 7?????

Dolan loves it and happily goes into the 2nd apron for the type of money/attention/winning we'd be doing

Who are we trading to get him?

Only player that works salary wise is Mitch, but then we'd have to presumably trade Deuce for a big in order to balance the roster.

LeBron should get a buyout if he wants to come here so badly.

A trade could like something like this and work under the CBA. You can tweak salaries a bit too with different smaller players being traded so we would take less back and have a bit more room under the cap too.

Obviously we are going to have some emotional reactions to the spectre of LeBron and truthfully I am a bit ambivalent on it myself. But I wouldn’t cry if something similar to above happend.

I would have an issue if it was KAT traded instead.

Have some self respect! LeBum has mocked, dissed and rejected us his entire career! Why you keep chasing the same girl? Do you realize if by some miracle we won it with LeBum it would be all about him and not about the team? Damn y'all have no dignity!!
