BIG emphasis on Player development. This is the way. Cost-controlled contribution with the potential to blossom.

So glad the front office had the courage to dump the old coach and prioritize this.

Mike brown is a vet heavy coach lol

It's funny how people act like they have some inside info and rubes believe them when it's obvious from the known info, no secret sauce needed.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

If CP says it's going to be Mike Brown then that's the pick. Despite what a few people on here say, CP has legit inside sources.

Dolan didn’t like Thibs and that’s why Thibs got fired. Fred Katz and James Edward said it themselves, they had an idea that Dolan didn’t like Thibs and the decision to fire Thibs was in dolan’s hands. Leon would’ve kept him otherwise. Dolan meddling in never ends well so you better hope it’s different this time.

I was just debating this point the other day with someone else… Katz reporting contradicts all the other reports we’ve been hearing like this was a Leon decision, Leon n Thibs not speaking all season, Leon would step down if he’s forced to do something he doesn’t want, Rick turning on Thibs, Wes n Brock not liking Thibs, etc etc etc… Dolan isn’t the bad guy, Thibs isn’t the saint you guys are making him out to be.

When Mike Brown, Mikal, and KAT lead us to the first title in our lifetimes… you need to replace Melo, Tatum, and that bum Giddey lol with their faces in your sig

Dolan is the worst owner in the nba by far. How tf you defending him lol

When has Katz ever reported something that wasn’t true? I’ve been following him since his OKC days. He’s valid.

My sig is for BAF mf  get back in here so I can beat you :D

Fred Katz said thibs was safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thibs was fired a day later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you explain why you think this? Brown's offensive coaching is actually a strength.

im just not impressed with his trackrecord or offense at all tbh.

im only looking at his HC stints tbf.

he coached lebron and the cavs that were extremely carried by a young and very hungry lebron. i didnt go back to watch the tape. but im pretty sure lebron mainly just played how he wanted to play. so its hard for me to give credit to brown for that offense. Didnt get the lakers to work, didnt get the cavs (2nd stint) to work. I dont know what to think of his stint in GSW, he wasnt the HC and joined when they already won a ring.

The only thing that is somewhat impressive is what he did with the kings. It was only one season tho. I havent watched enough kings to say, it was player driven success (i think sabonis is like a mini jokic and did tremendous work) or coach driven success. but if its only 1 year of succes and getting fired after a slow start i have to think it is the former. and lets be real, 48 wins in the west is good but its also nothing super crazy.

i dont wanna be a debby downer or come across as salty because thibs was fired. as i said, once a coach loses the locker room theres no point and the coach has to go, no question about it and i am fine with it. i just had a different approach in mind lets say.

i wouldnt mind being educated about his offense and how it is a strenght. what does he do well? i dont mind changing my opinion or admitting being wrong. I just dont see it

From what I remember Brown is big on Princeton offense concepts and motion, which is why I asked because he's probably very different from Tom in that regard.

I mean, Brown isn't the sexiest name to me either, I just know offensively we should be a lot better. Defensively? I dunno.

Which is a problem because we need to get productivity out of young players on cheap deals.

Fred Katz said thibs was safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thibs was fired a day later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s not what he said. Be better!

The day that the Knicks got eliminated, James Edwards and I came out with that story that we had alignment that (Thibodeau) has support from Jalen Brunson and has the backing of Leon Rose, however, James Dolan is the final decision maker on these sorts of decisions," Katz said on Friday's episode of the Katz and Shoot podcast. "And there were some people who aggregated that and said we were reporting that Thibs was safe. No, we weren't. We were reporting if it were up to Rose and Brunson, Thibs was safe, but it's not up to Rose and Brunson. There was a final decision-maker, who was leaving it linger. We had an inkling that James Dolan would want (Thibodeau) out. We didn't know for sure, so we couldn't report that James Dolan wants to fire Thibs, but we had an inkling.

"Then, Vinnie Goodwill (Yahoo Sports) comes out with an accurate report about what happens during end-of-season meetings. James Dolan sat in on exit interviews, I can tell you, I have spoken to a number of people from a number of different organizations around the league — an owner sitting in on exit interviews is ... it raised eyebrows. It's not a normal, regular thing. That's not a routine thing. It wasn't something that happened with the Knicks until this time around."

I mean, I can see the vision I guess

It does worry me a bit that the Kings regressed in year 2 under Brown despite having basically the same exact rotation and only having 1 of their top 6 players (Kevin Huerter) miss more than 10 games (he missed 18)

I haven't been excited about any of the names that come up, but at the same time, I'm not really against any of them. They're all just kinda okay I guess.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Made the Lakers a contender with those 3 Knicks players, while the Knicks get rewarded with a 40 year old and his son.

Is he worse than Thibs?

Thibs has gotten this team better every year except one since he's been here and to the ecf. Brown started good and had gotten worse every year in Sac and never made it past the 1st round. I'd say Thibs is much better.
