He takes over for Simons.

Imagine his family will be the key point though.

Dame will never go to Boston. Unless he is traded there from another team. Does not want anything to do with the city. He’ll probably sign a 2 year deal with the Heat.

I would be pretty shocked if its not Miami, that's where he wanted to go when he demanded out of Portland. Says he wants to be closer to his kids so maybe back to Portland if he's serious about that. LA or Golden State as a dark horse maybe. Dame aint ever signing with OKC/Minnesota/Boston, he wouldnt have even came to Milwaukee unless traded for, he's a big market warm weather guy.

I chose Houston. The roster is tailor made for his ball creation and the team has the wing depth to cater to his creation and drive and kicks.

They add Dame to that Rockets roster, it's a title contender.

No offense to any just having fun with it, or Dame fans, etc. Aint nothing wrong with that. But for me, I can’t even muster the energy to guess cause at this point it just feels completely inconsequential. Sucks to see a star fall off.

Question for those who understand the finances of the NBA, if a team claim Dame off the wavier, do they have to pay his salary since it wasn't a buy-out?

what? Dame almost had a heart attack last time when OG pulled a joke on him by telling him that he is traded to Raptors. Toronto remains a Siberia for most of the basketball players

I think GS could be cool considering it's a bit of a legends retirement home and it's his technically his hometown.

Nope, he'll double dip. It's a beautiful situation for him.

The buy-outs are a negotiated price to terminate the contract at a discount. Milwaukee is paying the full contract stretched over 4yrs and it'll be dead cap to milwaukee.

jordanwilliams6 wrote:If he still wants to play basketball, this is one where he needs to put ego aside and find a role on a contender as a 6th man type playing 20-25 minutes a game. Dame is too old and fragile at that age to be required to be a second or third option on a consistent basis.

He’s still going to be paid very well for a while so it won’t be a money decision.

If anything, being 6th man in the NBA, at this point sounds super optimistic. He will be 36 when he returns from achilles tear and he is small guard. I have seen Kemba Walker hoop last year for Monaco, he was one of the worst players in Euroleague, he was beyond done. Dame still being 6th man after achilles at age 36, I don't know about that man. I think if he does not retire, he will be more of just a mentor part time player of the bench, his starting days are over for sure, its not even a question.

If he's smart he goes to a team like Denver and becomes an elite 6th man.
