Charlotte trades Josh Green, Nick Smith Jr, 2026 1st (worst of ORL/MEM/PHX/WAS),
Dallas trades Daniel Gafford
Charlotte partially relieves a logjam of "3&D-ish" wings to fill a desperately shallow C rotation.
Dallas adds a tradeable asset, and committing to Lively/AD/PJ as its big man rotation.

Charlotte is probably leaning very heavily on Sexton, so while it's more than fair on paper, I doubt we can do it

Re: CHA/DAL
Would rather keep Gafford as insurance than trade him for a worst of 1st and an injured player with not much of a role in Dallas. Value might be fine, but I think Dallas gets more out of Gafford on nights AD/Lively miss than they do out of a pick with very limited upside.

Re: CHA/DAL
Dallas got rid of Green for a reason, no need to have him back, especially at the cost of Gaff. Now if we got our '27 pick back plus the draft rights to Mavs fan Liam McNeely, then a convo can be had

Re: CHA/DAL
I’d want to try and get Diabate back as the depth center but I don’t know if he’s believed to be developing into a long term starter or just a good backup center so no idea if I’m pushing too far?
Would add Naji or seconds to try and balance the OP with his inclusion..
As is.. I can’t see Dallas sitting on Green even if that’s the best asset Gafford can bring back. Would need to be part of a bigger trade where Dallas is aggregating

Gafford doesn't have this much value though.

Well it comes down to the '27 FRP. I think to dump a bum like Josh Green, draft rights to Liam is more than fair.
