I like the hire, but like others said, create a top of the line coaching staff and we'll be good.

Yes, we underachieved. The roster is elite.

I don't think he's a bad coach, but I don't know if he can raise the ceiling of a team. But then again, there wasn't anybody that stood out to me in this cycle

He's fine, and we have a talented squad.

in fairness that Kings team had no business as the 3rd or 4th seed a couple years ago

Not unexpected. Brown should be capable of handling this team and putting together good lineups. At the very least he will get them to the middle of the pack in pace per game. Should expect a 10 man rotation as he has had one at every stop in his career.

This reminds me too much of when we hired Jeff Hornacek

The Suns had two really good years with him in which they had no business winning as many games as they did. Then Phil hired him. Hornacek did as well as anyone could under Phil, and then under Perry/Mills

He was criticized by Kings fans for not playing Keon Ellis enough

Also, he had a couple of players as high in minutes as Thibs had OG, Mikal, and Josh

doesn't Brown have considerably more experience than Horny did at the point we hired him?

not trolling, legit question I have.

And here we go. The usual suspects completely trashing the hire as if they know better than Leon and the front office. This place gets worse every day.

I’m not saying he’s a great hire but it’s kind of funny that Kings fans complain about the only guy who bought them success in like 20 years just like Knick fans complain about the only guy who bought them success in like 20 years.

Just for the record Marc Stein was the first to report the Brown as HC and Borrego as associate HC. I just say that because its good to know who does and does not have sources.

That's not fair the Mike Woodson/Carmelo years was a very good run for the Knicks.

I think it’s cause the following season they got much worse and it coincidently happened when his top assistant left the team.

Karl is gonna need to have some tough skin because Brown will not tolerate what we saw this past season from him in terms of mental errors and poor attention to detail.
