You're only scared of the Pistons because Thibodeau coached terrible against them, and it has you feeling like they were better than they actually were.

I maybe wouldn’t call it a “massive downgrade” but from that perspective we give up our continuity with a project that’s been steadily improving each year give up that identity with players who mostly bought in to roll the dice with what you describe as a lateral move. That’s not what I’d hoped for personally I wanted a clear upgrade

The team will still likely be good because it’s full of talent. Just remember thibs came here to the worst team in the nba and took us to our first conference finals in 25 years. Mike brown is taking over a team that just made the conference finals. I hope he understands where the bar has been set

What has Thibodeau done without Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose?

We were quite literally just in the conference finals. The Knicks

The team got to the ECF this past season in spite of Thibodeau.

Thibs would still have a job if he just played players. If the front office tells you to play the bench and you dont, idk how your expected to keep a job.

Oh well, the zodiac gm likes the match, so how can anyone argue with that?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

He’s the best out of the available options. Hard to ignore who he’s learned under Pop and Kerr. Top passing and 2 man team In kings whether it’s his doing or not. Got credit for Warriors defense. We shall see. No great coaches was available.

If there were no coaches available why even make the change then? That excuse doesn’t really sit well with me. I was ok switching from Thibs if they had someone better in mind but I’m not sure that’s what happened.

Anyway I’ll give him a fair shot as long as towns is cool with him but I don’t like the move at first glance

You make the change because Thibs made some horrendous coaching mistakes throughout the season and playoffs. We got as far as we did due to our immense talent and the Celtics shooting themselves out of the playoffs.

Say what you want about Mike brown his playoff win% is 10 points higher than Thibs in only 10 less games.

He has a better regular season winning percentage than Thibs too.

But Thibs coached 100 more games. Very hard to believe huh?

Finals > ECF

Maybe if Thibodeau wasn't hard-headed he would've gotten to the Finals by using Deuce instead of Josh Hart in the starting lineup, and giving Shamet and Wright more minutes.

Pistons lost the one guy who kept killing us in Beasley.

No Timmy, and Schroeder defended JB well.
I think Pistons lost more than they gained. Even though Duncan Robinson is better than Timmy. If no Beasley and Schroeder we shouldn't have to worry too much about them

Ok well Mike brown went 13-18 and got fired. I wonder if any coaching mistakes took place there

you can see our roster in these schemes

I still like the Thibs tactics better, u can't beat passing the ball around until someone shoots, don't worry, Mitch will get the rebound. Thats ECF material right there.

Very nice system for ball movement and getting everyone touches. Makes me believe OG will likely stay at the 4 with the way the ball moves through that spot. Love how it gets the ball out of JBs hands and allows him to get open looks through motions and screens.
