i'm getting whiplash from having no PGs behind Melo all these years to all of a sudden, having ALL the PGs

real talk though, Dinwiddie sucks ass, and we don't need him taking a roster spot from a viable big man

This is definitely a bizarre signing. I saw someone I follow on my Hornets twitter mention they heard rumors of this a few hours ago. They were ahead of shams on this one. I thought it was **** so I didn't even post it.

Hornets definitely aren't taking any chances of a lamelo injury ruining the season again.

Or they are gearing up to have enough ball handlers in the back court to cover the team in case they decide to move on from melo in a huge trade???? Just a random stab in the dark guess.

or Sexton is being rerouted somewhere else?

but we gotta dump nsj on someone now. right? We could just cut him if there are no takers for him.

WTF?? Agree, Melo is going to be shipped out. There is no way we keep signing all these guards. Melo makes a LOT, so the guards we send out plus his salary may indicate it’s some BIG moolah $ contract coming back here at center.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I was just posting the same thing. it's kind of starting to feel that way with all these ball handlers.

I remember the Heat pursued Collin Sexton at the trade deadline. Ainge had a crazy asking price. We got Sexton (+ Kon) +2nd round pick for Ace Bailey + Nurkic.

What do we get from the Heat, using Sexton as a centerpiece?

I'm assuming there's only been 4 guys first name Spencer in the history of the NBA. And we've had two of the four. And not the one who was really good.

Danny Ainge doesn't do anyone favors.

Ainge could've signed off and left it to Peterson to submit it whenever Jeff was ready.

Jeff was shopping Mark during the draft so he had to take care of that first.

There is no way Ainge needed Nurkic. He has plenty of depth at C. There's no way Nurkic is worth more than Sexton.

That should be obvious.

Anyways, I have a feeling Sexton is going for a center.

Miami needs a PG and have 2 C's.

Din looked pretty washed last season. I will just assume it's just insurance so they won't need to be playing G League guys again when the injuries hit.

Austin Ainge was asked on Sunday during the press conference welcoming their rookies if he would comment on the Sexton trade. He cut off the reporter and just answered "No". I think there was something agreed upon behind the scenes that we will likely never find out.

Yeah, that trade made no sense for the Jazz.

Maybe Tre won't be 100% at the beginning of the season?

I refuse to go down any rabbit hole about Lamelo based on a Spencer Dinwiddie signing.

Have the Hornets had any presser or comments regarding these recent players? When you make a trade getting a guard like Sexton, why wouldn’t you introduce him to the press? Plus all these others?

A big shoe is gonna drop (I hope).
