They gave up an average of 116 after they fired him.

It's kinda wild that people have diametrically opposed views on what Mike Brown's acumen ismpharris36 wrote:dadanyk wrote:Hopefully he gets to add defensive minded coach; before he got fired the in 31 games that he coached the kings were giving up an average of 114 pts per game.
he is a defensive coach

Thibs had a team led by Randle most of the time here.

This reminds me too much of when we hired Jeff Hornacek
The Suns had two really good years with him in which they had no business winning as many games as they did. Then Phil hired him. Hornacek did as well as anyone could under Phil, and then under Perry/Mills
doesn't Brown have considerably more experience than Horny did at the point we hired him?
not trolling, legit question I have.
Brown has been coaching in the NBA for almost 30 years, whether as an assistant or head coach.
Is he an elite assistant but just a "decent" head coach? We are gonna find out.
This is Mike Brown's last chance to cement a legacy as a head coach in the NBA. If he doesn't success here, I think he either goes back to being an assistant, coaching in college, or joins a broadcasting team
Hornacek was pretty elite as a basketball player and had limited experience as an assistant for the Jazz and then head coach for the Suns before coming to the Knicks. Most recently he was an assistant for the Rockets

Maybe he gets Karl to stop doing dumb sh*t. Maybe not. But he gets a clean slate from me starting now.

There is evidence to suggest that was Jordi Fernandez running the offense in SAC. I really think we need to bulk up the coaching staff as much as possible because outside of LeBron and being an asst his only success came in SAC. 31 games (13-18)after Jordi left Brown was fired. He couldn't figure out the rotations and wasn't playing Keon Ellis. immediately after he was fired they went on a run. So he apparently lost the locker room too. Not a good look IMO.
Who is on his crew. That's a huge question.

I thought Brown was proponent of Princeton offensive principles.
I'm all kinds of confused now.

So phil Jackson is an awful coach. All his rings are asterisks
