I thought Brown was proponent of Princeton offensive principles.

I'm all kinds of confused now.

It's his foundation, but he got his start for being a big time defensive mind with SA and they weren't running Princeton offense with LeBron and Kobe... Not a chance.

Brown was the new Thibs when he hit the scene. A defensive Wizard fresh off the Pop tree.

After his second stint in Cleveland, he went to GSW to learn more about the modern offense.

That's what I gathered.

I think this is a superior roster to Sacto so I have big expectations.

Thibs had a team led by Randle most of the time here.

So phil Jackson is an awful coach. All his rings are asterisks

He had Jordan and Kobe. Remember when he tried to bring his system here?

Like I said are we asterisking his rings?

front office wants their Aaron Boone. Seems like Thibs stopped listening to them at some point last year. Gonna assume the 8 man rotation was the starting point of the fall out.

Yes, he does.

I'm not sure why anyone would be so opposed to the hire. His job isn't to reinvent the wheel. It's to basically figure out how to get KAT shooting 7+ 3s a game while not getting shived on defense.

I think there are quite a few obvious avenues to do that, which is why so many people were frustrated with Thibs.

Thibs went all out too soft at practice tryna calm his rep and backfired. This explains the inconsistency. Kobe said didn’t have to see Mike wanted to win bc he sees it how he prepares in detail.

I think most coaches are now...you have a few dinosaur HC that probably get full autonomy...but that is just the way of modern sports. You have built out FO's with analytic teams and such. That was a big reason thibs got the boot. He wasn't adjusting for anyone.

offense developed like 100 years ago. somewhat positionless basketball in that everyone on the court should be able to dribble, shoot and pass to an extent. heavy focus on the fundamentals

there's lots of moving, lots of cutting, with heavy importance on a player always being in the high post and the player in the high post has to be a great passer. basically what draymond and sabonis are great at, jokic too

I think that is why they are desperately trying to find an associate HC to run the offense...because that isn't something Mike Brown is known for.

Please be targeting shooters. 11 different players in double digits minutes. People are saying his defensive coaching being slept on.

I can see us killing it next season in the RS, especially with a great offensive coordinator. It's the chess matches of the playoffs that I wonder about.
