What do we know about Spencer in terms of his personality and Potential fit in the locker room? I haven't been paying a ton of attention to him in a while but I seem to remember him being kind of a quirky dude.

I refuse to go down any rabbit hole about Lamelo based on a Spencer Dinwiddie signing.

He's 6'5, so probably will get some minutes at center.

He seemed fine playing on that Brooklyn team back in the day with DLo and that group. He was on that Dallas team that made the Finals. He didn't look great last season as age might be catching up a bit but he's probably ok as the 14th guy on the roster type. Maybe they preferred a vet over someone like NSJ who would demand minutes? Just a guess on my part though..

unless you have a source..
Danny Ainge doesn't do anyone favors.

Ainge could've signed off and left it to Peterson to submit it whenever Jeff was ready.

Jeff was shopping Mark during the draft so he had to take care of that first.

There is no way Ainge needed Nurkic. He has plenty of depth at C. There's no way Nurkic is worth more than Sexton.

That should be obvious.

Anyways, I have a feeling Sexton is going for a center.

Miami needs a PG and have 2 C's.

You could trade Melo for Bam straight up, maybe with an added pick due to the injury concerns, include Plumdog. But Miami won’t deal him for Melo IMO, and it still doesn’t flush enough guards out the door.

I’d think we’re still looking at a team with centers that needs some guards. Allen was rumored to be on the block, Claxton maybe but don’t they have plenty of guards?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Wow, we are loading up on PG's. Clearly, some guys are going out. Could be Melo but more likely Sexton I guess. I do also think the Sexton and pick thing while eating Nurkic's $ (a 1st round value right there) was part of the draft. This is kinda crazy though. Something is cooking and JP is not messing around this summer.

Makes zero sense but it’s obvious a trade is coming so I’ll judge it then.

Some sort of trade centered around LaMelo and Bam?

I recall some stories about him being mad that he wasn't playing enough and he basically quit on the Nets when they were tanking.

So beyond not knowing how we expect to play all these guards, I don't think Dinwiddie will be a happy camper if his role isn't big enough.

I mean he signed on a one year vet minimum deal. Clearly his expectations have to be adjusted in line with the contract he's been given and the fact that this probably wasn't his first or second or top 10 choices.

Hate this. Not a very good player anymore and requires the ball in his hand way too much. Will likely mess up the development of Kon and Miller.

Maybe he is the 3rd string PG, but I doubt it.
