Mr no adjustments

Mike Brown on Jalen Brunson: "Man, he's a helluva player. I don't know if—Steph maybe—we blitzed anybody as much as we did Jalen…& he still scored 42…Jalen shot 50% from the 3 & over 50% from the field, & we sent the double team at him every single time he came off the pick & roll in the 2nd half"

JB was in God mode during that game. You can't guard God mode, and Jalen said not tonight. You just tip your hat to those types of game. The statement by brown is saying he threw the defensive book at him and it didn't work. How is that not an adjustment?

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Mike Brown, the former Sacramento Kings coach, faced criticism for allegedly not making enough in-game adjustments during his tenure. This criticism stemmed from situations where the team struggled to adapt to opponents' strategies, leading to extended scoring droughts or defensive breakdowns. Some players and analysts noted a perceived lack of tactical flexibility and an inability to shift game plans effectively when faced with adversity.

Brown went 11 man over 10 minutes. Per Cp Knicks stressing player development we shall see.

Player development, und these new cba rules is an absolute pressing need. Don't be fooled by the current talent level on this tea which was only possible due to JB leaving a huge amount of money on the table....any other superstar in their prime would have taken 50+ mill. Under the new CBA player development, meaning having players on rookie contracts and subsequent lowish contracts is an absolute must.

Shams absolutely has sources within the Knicks. Saying he doesn’t has already been debunked.

Thinking the Knicks FO doesn't know what Mike Brown's strengths and weaknesses are after he's been a coach for 20 years and is personally asking for an offensive minded lead assistant is a much bigger stretch

So asking for an assistant that’s in demand around the nba means he’s telling the FO he can’t coach an offense? You think that’s what he told them in the interview?

Well, there are 3 people who for sure don't know what was discussed in the interview:

-Me
-You
-Shams

But here is the one thing that is definitely not a question: The Knicks are pursuing Borrego to be the lead assistant because either Brown wants him or the FO wants him because they don't think Brown can coach the offense himself.

i don't really like that rotation.

if it's brunson/deuce/bridges/og/kat, then our bench becomes some form of kolek/clarkson/hart and that doesn't feel good. just a really small non-defending bench group

They clearly feel like Brown has had to have played some part in the kings offense that year. I doubt they’re giving all the credit to his assistant when they decided to hire him. Cause if they are, then why are you hiring him? Just to “adapt to the fo”?

Brown by himself is acceptable to slightly disappointing for me. Nothing more nothing less but he unequivocally deserves a real chance.

Having said that, I can’t be the only person who genuinely sees the value in having a well respected AHC on the sidelines. Not for nothing but Borrego lead those young Charlotte teams to some impressive records before burning it all down with Steve Clifford. I want another voice in the lockeroom, breaking down footage and speaking with the players directly. We all clearly missed Bryant and the yin/yang with Thibs. This stuff matters when you’re trying to win the whole damn thing.

I'm good with this. Brown has a HISTORY of being a flexible enough coach to work WITH his rosters to maximize talent, not WORK AGAINST it.

We're gonna be fine. I'm excited.

Ouch luckily we have the closer. He had D Fox as a top clutch player what you think going to happen now with more talent? Not saying this is not concerning but I believe in this move for this team at this moment.

I didn't know there was a thing as shamstans...learn something new every day.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Shams has some team sources around the league, but mainly with agents, anytime he’s reporting anything Knicks related it’s never coming in house, always through an agent or another team source.
