Since half our roster is guards, who are the ones most likely to be traded?

Okogie pushing back his guarantee a couple weeks is a sign imo. that usually doesn't happen unless a team is planning moves that require a bunch of salary matching

I really want them to keep Okogie. Hes cheap and hes the only player on the roster with his skillset (athletic wing that is actually good at defense).

Oh god this is all a set up to trade Melo for Gobert isn't it?

I think it’s a deal in some fashion that is going to be complex, likely to be a three or four team trade involving big players. Melo wants to get to the Clippers supposedly. They have nothing we want but maybe using multiple teams we get who we need.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I don't think Melo for Gobert would make sense for either team, but trading Melo isn't off the table. Either him or Sexton.

Sexton + Okogie adds up to just under 27m.

Sexton + Okogie + NSJ works for a Bam trade.

Not sure who else we'd be targeting in the 25-35m range.

is the Sexton/Nurk trade already finalized? if so, we wouldn't be able to aggregate Sexton until September

(would be a very stupid move for both teams to finalize the deal that early but i'm pretty sure I saw it was official)

Quick trade machine deal:

Charlotte gets: Bam, Bogdonovic
Clippers get: Melo
Heat get: Zubac, Pat.

Who were we going to sign?

Kennard signed 1 year 11 million with atl

Capella 3 yr 21.5 mil

Ty Jerome 3 yr 28 mil

Santi Aldami 3 yr 52 mil

Miles Turner 4 years 107 mil

Tim Hardaway Jr vet min 1 yr

These are the type of moves teams make when they are trying to win games.. not just 2nd round picks...

Capela and Turner sure but who's to say we didnt put calls in? We obviously need a starting big. I just dont see many of them out there in FA.

I think Houston would be the team to watch for LaMelo.

They got 3 centers Sengun/Capela/Adams

Can we get something done with LaMelo for Sengun?

You’d need to add 4 first round picks to that bam trade

I hope we don't do something crazy like trade for Embiid.

Look, I don’t think Peterson is an idiot, at least I hope not. Therefore, these multiple guard signings and the trade for Sexton aren’t being done in HOPE of combining guys into a trade for a center…right? I mean, IF Jeffie is doing all this wild azz shopping and dealing, just ASSUMING he will be able to trade a bunch of guards, then he IS AN IDIOT.

Let’s hope he’s clear eyed, strategic, and getting ready to pull the BIG trigger.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
