no one is saying taking them as gospel but you just have to delineate actual reporting from sh*t for clicks.

Berman isn't connected anymore he's retired and just tries to stir sh*t up.

fine. let's waste another season, with out easiest chance ever to make the finals on the line, on realizing that what he gives up defensively at the 5 isn't worth what you gain offensively.

he had the highest NET rating of any player on the team for the regular season and playoffs...playing mostly the 5...I'm not really sure what you expect them to do. They aren't playing him 100% at the 4...him at the 5 isn't an issue if you have an unstoppable offense.

On top of that you aren't playing Mitch 30+ minutes a game...that would be silly since its important to keep him healthy all year.

Towns had the highest plus minus on the team and we won 50+ and 2 playoff series one of them against the defending champs all with him at the 5. Why are we pretending like it was a failure

even if you just want to focus on the the ECF loss he carried us in the game 1 should-have-been win and also in the game 3 win where he took over the 4th quarter playing at the 5, if not for him doing that we would have been swept.

Starting Mitch was attempted and really didn’t have us looking any better or worse from what I could tell. Mitch started here for years and we didn’t go to the conference finals. If you look at their plus minus towns was a +7 in the pacers series anyway the only positive among any starter and Mitch was a -21. So what are we talking about wasted season lol

This is actually great. You’re right, it’s not about SAS. Starts with Windy. When SAS talks, he’s not doing his shtick at all. Just straight analysis. He’s at his very best here- rare as that is!

We want Borrego because Brown said its important to have him on staff, according to Begley.

Why would the Knicks FO, the most successful FO we've had in a quarter century, think Brown is an offensive wiz if Brown himself doesn't think so?

Shams is just editorializing here, not reporting.

of course not, no one from the knicks talks directly to shams he doesn't have those connects with us.

If they were going to hire someone with experience they probably brought in Nori for the same reason...to pick his brain about probably the offense and being a lead assistant like Borrego.

The Knicks FO isn't dumb and Mike Brown isn't naive to know what he's good at. If he's suggesting he thinks an offensive guru is important to add to the staff than its pretty simple to understand what Brown feels his strengths and weaknesses are. He had an assoc HC in Sacramento who got hired by Nets for his offensive acumen.

Shams has no inside Knicks sources, just like Woj didn't before him, which is why people need to understand when they are reporting vs just being a talking head.

Woj was CAA; he had sources in the Knicks FO. He might not have leaked stuff, but he had connections.

So Thibs never spoke to Leon? That’s news to me considering we traded for D rose and Josh hart.

The reporting is that they hadn't spoken since around February and that Thibs refused to take their suggestions heading into the playoffs.

He probably stopped talking to WWW

WWW goes to Dolan, engineer coup to get rid of Thibs

Thibs Fired, WWW gets Knicks to hire his guy Brown.

I welcome Mike Brown to New York.

The rumors were saying players were waiting to see who the coach was before they do anything here. So maybe there’s another big move in the works

Leon Rose, the man who brought you 5 picks and Grimes for KCP.
Leon Rose, the man who brought you four-year deal worth up to $78 million for Evan Fournier.
Leon Rose, the man who brought you 2 years of guaranteed Kemba Walker.
Leon Rose who traded the best bench player on the Pacers finals team for nothing just so his kid could make some spending cash.
Leon Rose, the man who signed R_ Barret to a 4 year $120 million extension and then had to add assets to dump him.

Some matchups we will need Mitch some matchups Deuce.

Deuce gives us a legit 5 out look that means the center has to guard KAT which is very advantageous for our lineups.

When we need rim protection Mitch will be available to use.

The key is outscoring you opponent even if your defense is middle of the pack...if your offense is top in the league you can work with that.

The issue is about halfway through the year once teams moved small guys on KAT and we never adjusted our offense stopped being top tier.

We're gonna have a lot of different line up configurations that should be pretty fun to see. Personally wanna see Deuce next to Brunson before going to Kat at the 4. Let's see if he can handle POA defender better than Mikal did last year. It was probably mostly Kat's fault we couldn't guard PNR but I can't imagine that Mikal wasn't part of the issue. We can always go back to double big at any time.

the starting lineup was a negative since january and we could never beat a good team all season. it didn't work. our defense was bad. everyone knew it. are we really gonna pretend like it did now ? or that mike brown can fix this ? i know, starting two midgets together is gonna fix the defense. i really hate you all. you're like charlie brown with the football.
