We've got two open roster spots still... not sure we actually want to add more rotation worthy players or just fill out the rest of the roster with 12th/13th guys. I always felt like Weaver didn't want to bring in older vets who could take away playing time from young guys.

I remember he had a lot of love from this board going into the Ausar draft. He was injured all of last season. Utah will need to see what they have in him next season before giving him away for pennies on the dollar.

So Ausar/Stewart will probably have to cover some backup PF as of now.

Levert/Ivey running covering back up ball handling duties.

Brogdon & Lyles split the room exception?

For sure? Did we have more cap space than we thought? How did we sign Levert Reed and Robinson with just $19space and Fonts 8mil?

I still think Holland will spend time at PF as well.

We need size, I say go after John Collins if we can, if we only have to give up sasser and 2nd rounders then I saw go for it. We can try and bring in a backup point with the MLE we still have. But the best thing this off season was Myles Turner going to the Bucks. The Bucks are a dumpster fire and Myles could be had for Harris expiring and some picks at the trade deadline. The PF dream list is going to be:

1.) Jaren Jackson
2.) Myles Turner
3.) Laurie Markannen
4.) Bam Adebyo
5.) Aaron Gordon
6.) Kristaps Porzingis

Whichever team is not a contender and gives us the best price at the trade deadline.

Do we really still have around $8.5 million in cap available?

If so, could do Sasser and 2nd to a team looking to cut cap for a decent PF.

Can any cap gurus confirm how much cap space we still have to play with?

I do not believe we have any more cap space.

We still have the ability to use the room exception, which I believe is up to 8.8 million.

C: Duren(24) / Stew(24)
F: Ausar (26) / Collins(22)
F:Harris(28) / Robinson(20)
G: Ivey(30) / Holland(18)
G: Cade(32) / LeVert(16)

Ron Holland easily the worst player in that 10 man rotation. Everyone else a solid 6th or 7th man or better.

A starting lineup including Ivey, Collins, Duren, and Cade (an average defender) would turn average opposing offenses into great ones.

It would score points though.

Pretty sure we would have to add Sasser and Klintman to get Collins

I was one of them. Also loved Cason Wallace, wanted us to do a trade and get both. I guess one out of two isn’t too bad. Maybe Hendricks can still become starter worthy.

I think it’s RealGM issues. I can never read a tweet until I refresh everything.

I believe we could trade for Monk first.... and then once that trade is complete we could then swap him straight up for Collins... since we'd still be below the luxury tax and their salaries are within 125% of one another.

Of course, that would mean Utah would be willing to trade Collins for Monk which they likely aren't unless some picks also go their way.
