It seems unprecedented to me the level of trying to talk into existence a player leaving.

I won’t watch their **** but do they even talk about the basketball fit of the signing or or is it all trying to justify why Giannis will leave

Simmons would’ve rather dealt Giannis than stretch Dame……I wish Russillo would’ve been on with him today to fight back on that. Another guy who didn’t see how bad Lopez has been the past couple years. Immediately dismissing Turner as if we didn’t just watch him be a key piece on a Finals team.

I'd give up a second round pick if Giannis agreed to public denounce all those who make up stories about what he's thinking.

And I'd give up another second rounder for Horst to get up and state that none of these guys no anything about bball. The problem with this one is he just traded for Kuzma.

I don't watch or follow any of those guys as I really don't care what any say, so really all I see is what is posted here.

It seems at this point, the Bucks could win another title and some idiot within a few days would say something along the lines of "How winning the title actually increases the chances Giannis leaves"

I love that the Myles Turner "trade" didn't move the needle apparently. Which is true, because we traded no assets to sign Myles Turner in free agency. The national coverage of this team is such a joke the Bucks should sue for libel, pathetic.

Regarding Dame, that parade the bucks orchestrated when he got here makes more sense now if he didn’t want to be here

Its really simple. As someone already said, the media guys expected the Bucks to role over and die. We are clearly not doing it and that upsets a lot of people.

I dont think we have championship team to be clear. But we did decide to fight and not give up. I think that is what make most of us happy. The mere fact that we didnt give up and that we fight.

That would be a home run, IMO.

Quibble: (using Spotrac numbers) Sending out Kuzma ($22,410,605) plus Dre or Livingston ($2,221,677) would allow us to take back up to $33,159,292.54.

Article VII Section 6(j)(1)(iv)(y)(B) ends up being the relevant one here, so "one hundred percent (100%) of the aggregated pre-trade Salaries of the Traded Player(s), plus an amount equal to $7.5 million multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the Salary Cap for the then-current Salary Cap Year and the denominator of which is the Salary Cap for the 2023-24 Salary Cap Year."

1.0 * ($22,410,605 + $2,221,677) + $7,500,000 * ($154,647,000 / $136,021,000) = $33,159,292.54.

We could actually take back Murphy and Alvarado sending out just Kuzma (could take back up to $30,937,615.54, based on his Spotrac number).

He's a 25 year old who makes a high volume amount of threes at 43%. What's difficult to understand?

Im just not personally excited by a one dimensional player. Its cool and all, its needed, it just doesn't excite me to the point where i would be mashing f5 all day over his contract.

And I think it would have been a good move to stretch Dame to sign Turner even without Giannis. The money is the money but Dame has negative value while we could eventually trade Turner in a couple years and get draft picks back.

Correct. And if we do trade Giannis, the 20+ in dead money is meaningless anyway. So did we want to make the team better or not?

Team better?
No team better?

Takes a lot of long ones, impossible to get to his release (banged one in Wemby's face), excellent defender, flawless decision-maker. Giannis is the Steph of Draymonds and AJ is the Draymond of Stephs, not a thing complicated.

He’s also proven to have real long term potential on defense.

They weren't ready for the creativity and gamesmanship shown by Horst. I also love how Dame was left for dead by all the same blowhards and now they think dumping him torpedoed the franchise. The hypocrisy is rampant. And we all know the hypocrisy is the worst part (Norm reference for those who appreciate GOATs).

3-pt shooting & d (our best d-rating each of the last 2 seasons & last playoffs). That's 2 dimensions & it's a valued role in the NBA. Most can't be stars, and when you're not, trying to be 1 still is a problem.

He also has enhanced value as long as Giannis is here. So I don't get trying to trade him or keep them away from each other in lineups.
