I wouldn't mind signing Simmons for a vet min. He's big, hes a playmaker off the bench, and decent on defense still. Theres even a small (probably very small) chance he becomes a starter quality player again and we can start him next to KAT if/when Mitch goes down.

He's honestly like a bigger, maybe better Hart.

Simmons was really good for the clips last year and played almost a defacto point center for their bench unit (they played small ball essentially 5 out other than simmons).

I would welcome him as depth especially if hart is moved.

I was pleasantly surprised that Ben shot over 70 pct from FT in the past 3 years. Would be nice to get him here for the vet min. Could actually do the Hart role except that Josh could knock down the occasional 3-pointer.

Apparently, he has a real attitude problem and is a cancer in the locker room. I can see Lebron butting heads with him.

I mean, obviously you take LeBron for the minimum. What are we doing here?

I would also take Simmons for the minimum.

I think the LeBron buyout talk is smoke to get the Warriors to hurry up with their sign and trade.

I would also take Simmons for the minimum.

Some dudes just really are in their feelings over him not signing here 15 years ago

He's not getting bought out, and he's not getting traded either. It's a moot point regardless

Simmons, I could go either way on. He's kinda just Hart with worse rebounding but better live passing, so it'd be redundancy in a bad way. But on the other hand, for the minimum it's good value.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

I don't mind having another tall serviceable player when there's even money that OG and Mitch might miss 80 combined games.

Even if Simmons paid the Knicks I wouldn't want to see him on the team...I heard the Lakers are looking for hired guns even if they're ones that can't shoot I suppose.

Are we sure that Rose calling Ben wasn't just a wellness check?

Are you ok, buddy? Do we need to send some assistance?
