Maybe he's our SF of the Future, I like it!

I absolutely believe that Smith's pro future, given he has one, is at the 3, specifically defending on the perimeter. He's got the [developing] skillset to be a Rashard Lewis type of player. If we ask him to keep all the backend rotations straight, read who is and who will be low, etc., I think we're setting him up to fail.

Great comp! Play that old Orlando magic style when Dwight was dominating the paint and kicking out to shooters

I am definitely concerned that we're trying to reboot the Brook Lopez era instead of taking a chance on some original content.

Yeah I loved waiving and stretching Dame, but would have been much more excited to add a wing. Too bad there wasn't one in this free agent market

Is there real interest in Chris Paul? Jon Horst is really **** killing me lately trying to make me not hate Doc Rivers and Kyle Kuzma and now Chris Paul? I’m not sure I can handle that. I hope that’s just BS, we can do better.

I'm relieved we've realized he doesn't have it.

If they still believe in him, they could bring him back on a 2 way. I'd move on.

Maybe go after RJ Barrett.

Please don't let us start the season with Kuzma in the team...

Is this a rumor or your own idea?

The Monk thing is widely reported but apparently they could not find a trade for him. Maybe we're not interested or could not come to an agreement?
The Barrett thing, was just a name.

It seemed like they were trying to move Monk to save money, so Kuzma didn't for fit that goal.

I could still see a different deal with Kuzma going to Sacramento.

That's my biggest concern with Turner, that he's just plug and play younger Brook. His rim protection is pretty damn solid and he's a guy who can pop out to the perimeter as a big but I dunno how much more he is. He's getting the Bobby treatment where because he's not Brook Lopez he's being labeled as this switchable big dude when in reality I'm pretty sure he just isn't. His rebounding numbers leave a lot to be desired as an interior defender. He's being billed as a lob threat and while there may be some jank to the numbers NBA.com tracking has him at a total of 1 alley oop in both of the last two regular seasons with Indy, playing next to Haliburton, I don't really think he's this above the rim lob threat guy.

Just catching this now. Turner fits next to Giannis but the Bucks are being pretty reckless with everything they're doing just to keep Giannis. They're going to go down swinging and I guess deserve credit for that but this is going to end in a disaster eventually.

Livingston just always seemed like some agent favor ****, like drafting that Greek kid years ago because he shared Giannis' agent.

The Bucks cap situation has completely flipped. If Rollins get more then the minimum, it should be set up as a declining contract. Green deal should be torn up and replaced with higher pay this year, and a declining contract too.

We don't have any other avenues to spend our money.

Why start Green's next contract sooner than you have to? I get the declining aspect but wouldn't you rather have an extra year than save 2 mil or whatever each season?

It's not like Turner isn't extremely tradeable if Giannis leaves, which, at that point who gives a **** if they're on the hook for $22 million a year for Dame.

I'm fine being on an island thinking Chris Livingston still has the potential to make it in the league.

He's still only 21 and I watched him a lot with the Herd. He has made good strides since being taken a few years ago.

His problem is that he has no go-to skill. He's a decent and improving defender and averaged 18 points and 8 boards for the Herd.

He was pretty efficient overall but needs work on his 3 point shooting. I also thought his BBIQ was pretty good.

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought him back. They had to make the move to finalize the Turner deal, but I think CL has a chance. I like his attitude, BBIQ, defensive possibilities, size and youth.

That would be the worst possible scenario. But if Horst doesn't nail this next step we're going to be hoping Giannis askes out.

You should know better as a Bucks' fan he had already been kept, for this season at least & this is more about maximizing the years while he was here, as Horst has done throughout his tenure.

It's a separate conversation if this was the best way to do that - by having 22.5 in dead cap vs. not having a starting C of Turner's ilk.

Give me 4 years, and then evaluate where his defensive quickness is at. He's a really good defender now, but that will change quickly when he starts to lose lateral quickness.

I'm trying to avoid another Patty C situation.
