Sounds like his knees are going to be sore given some of his tweets...

Ayton's a below-average starting center but that's still a big upgrade over a gaping void. The Lakers still feel like they're 2-4 quality rotation players short though and I don't know how that changes.

Ayton is far from below average starting center.

He literally was the main reason Suns got to the finals in 2021. His career playiff averages are 17/11 on 65%FG... and good defense.

He had a bad falling out with the suns coach and traded to a Blazers team full of chuckers.

I mean even without knowing the numbers, and ignoring the whole doesn’t show up on time or for defense, I love this gamble. Lebron telling you he will make a season long documentary that our defense singlehandedly cause him to retire should be enough to work, and if not it was a solid gamble.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this was called one of the best three free agent signings come the trade deadline.

Suns were the idiots that gave him that ridiculous contract.

Thanks for Camara though.

Dude, I watched Blazers for Scoot, Deni, Camara and Ayton and that four made Blazers look good especially when Ayton wasn't sooking or taking a day off. Legit these 4 looked good together and just needed a LeBron or KD like wing to be the main star.

Watching Grant, Sharpe shoot 15 3pt shots between them in a half with Ayton ignored is just not good basketball.

In any case, Blazers move on and get Yang and Clingan to hopefully work with Scoot and Deni...

Just wanted to say "Told you so" to the Lakers taking Ayton. Albeit free. Now take Grant and give us Knecht and the backroom deal will be complete.

PHX are the team that overpaid him.

Ayton does best with a PG that will pump him up and be supportive. If Luka can do that for him, I think he'll do well. He'll have nights where he doesn't give the best effort, but overall I think he's a pretty solid teammate and guy. He's just goofy (and I don't say that to degrade him).
