It's a major weakness. It's a rotation with three #3-4 starters, Scherzer with 1 thumb, and then an overachieving Lauer. They desperately need to add to the rotation at the deadline, and not a bottom of the rotation starter.

Problem is they do not have the assets to get a legit top of the rotation guy. The rotation was not adequately addressed in the off-season. Unless they trade their top two prospects, you are not getting a top of the line rotation guy with their farm system that is one of the worst in MLB. Have to settle for another 3rd/4th starter instead.

They’ll trade both of those prospects I expect.

Massive blow to the organization when both Pearson and Manoah flamed out. Could’ve been 2 top of the rotation anchors.

Only way I am trading Arjun Nimmala and Trey Yesavage is for a legit top of the rotation guy, who is under team control also for multiple years. Your farm system already sucks, so no way I am parting with those two guys for some rental.
