Does anyone even have the funds to offer 20m without the Warriors taking something back in a S&T?

I don't think so. And would Kuminga sign it anyway, knowing it would tie him up for at least 3 seasons? His knucklehead agents may really back him into taking the QO. A rarely seen move that has huge risks, plus it becomes yet another season Kuminga has to wait for the bag.

I can’t see them risking it, especially since he appears to tie his failure to break out to the organization holding him back. A 3 year with a player option seems like a win for him.

Teams don't have the space for kuminga.

A) Takes the qo and bolts
B) Takes less than he thinks hes worth (4/80).
C) GSW folds and gives JK 5/175, to try and flip him at the deadline.
D) S&T to the Kings for Monk
E) S&T to the Heat for Wiggins or Rozier
F) S&T to the Bulls for Vuc

I think those are the only options with A or B being the least likely.

The same guy that thinks he's a top option and thinks he's worth a max extension? Unlikely, but i can see a scenario where jk takes the qo and decides to find his value in the off season as a FA.

It looks like Detroit can take back $22M with the Schroeder deal with Sacramento being a S&T….maybe warriors could get involved in a 3-way.

They just got Duncan for 16M in a sign and trade. I don't think the Pistons need kuminga, they want more shooting since Beasley is probably going to jail.

He might get less minutes as a piston than he did here.

B though I Think it’s something like 3/60 with the 3rd year being a player option.

Yes, the same guy that already turned down an extension for more than he’s getting at this point. Is he going to risk life changing money over hoping things go drastically different this time around? I don’t think so.

How much is he regretting declining the Warriors offer back in the fall?

TBF, Franz had gotten a ridiculous extension, which he will never live up to -- if the Magic finally get out of the first round in the EC, it won't be because of him.

Sign and trade kuminga to the kings for malik monk and a 2nd rounder.

Here's my concern with monk.

If the idea is for him to be a 6th man. Im all in.

If the idea is to start him with steph. I'd rather play pat Spencer.

We saw how this story played out with schroeder.

The only shrimp back-court mate that worked out with curry was melton. Monte and Schroeder were disasters, as was the cp3 experiment. However, the sample size was small and the legs were still fresh.

Sounds like something is cooking now with the KD trade expanding

Yeah, but the Lakers are also mentioned, so keep plenty of lube handy.

It's probably just that no.41 pick being part of the deal and not any movement of actual players.

100%, we need a player that can close games. 2nd unit is more or less stabilized with Butler, but we need a good stretch big to play vs the best lineups in the west.

Are the Warriors really afraid of trading Kuminga to the Kings (or presumably other West teams) because he might hurt them? I'm a Kuminga fan but come on, this is ridiculous. smh
