Kuminga for Kuzma

Post#1 » by slos » Wed Jul 2, 2025 11:32 pm

Bucks and Warriors trade, no picks involved

Kuminga s/t (4y/100mil) for Kuzma

Why Warriors? They get a cheaper replacement for Kuminga. Kuzma is bigger and can play PF next to Butler. His 2 year contract lines up with their Big 3.

Why Bucks? They take another gamble in a wild offseason. Kuminga has a ton of similarities with Kuz, but he is younger and a change of scenery could do wonders.

Golden State is better off letting Kuminga walk for nothing. Milwaukee is also probably better off sticking with Kuzma's shorter contract in this scenario.

You can't really think the Warriors would just eat Kuzma for free so the Bucks get Kuminga right? Why would they want Kuzma on that contract?

If Kuzma's mom was GM of the Warriors even she'd laugh at this proposal

Also seems like Bucks need more of a three than Kuminga.

I do think that a Kuminga sign and trade somewhere is one of the remaining moves out there.

I feel like Draymond would assault Kuzma at some point…

Jazz trading asset + Collins for Kuminga seems like such a big win potential...

Yeah I feel like the Jazz should be going after Kuminga. Bailey, Kuminga, Lauri could be a nice, jumbo 2,3,4 lineup. Then you have Kessler holding down the back line.

You might make a deal work by tying in Looney to NO (make that a S&T for a fake 2nd swap) to give GS some extra outgoing money without incoming salary.

The problem would be that GS would be hard-caped at the 1st apron and Collins' salary would get GS too close to make the rest of the roster work.

Kuminga and Bailey playing together would be all-time great comedy.

It’d be like two actors taking the stage on Broadway reading lines from two entirely different scripts while talking directly over each other.

Bad for both teams.

Super hard pass from GSW, would rather let JK walk for nothing than eat Kuzma’s contract for no compensation

No GM in his right mind would trade for Kyle Kuzma unless significant draft compensation is offered…
