We just watched everyone deep throat the Nuggets for moving a 32 1st and MPJ's bad contract for Cam Johnson and cap relief.

Why cant we accomplish that and more with 31 1st, 32 swap, and 26 swap?

Your first mistake was listening to Bill SImmons.

I just think, very unfortunately, the Pels are not selling their most valuable players after moving 26 unprotected.

Maybe they will next offseason if it blows up in their face

Hopefully Livingston gets back on a 2 way or something. He’s still young with potential

Those sending out Kuzma this offseason in a dump or for a role guy should then explain how we're going to get a #2 option w/out using his salary slot.

For whatever reason, i cant quit him. Hes like Coca Cola. I just really enjoy his pod except for when he talks bucks. Russillo always has a much more insightful rational take on us

I'm in the top 5% of believers. You have to be honest w/ yourself he's not super reliable on and off the court. Putting all the eggs in a frayed basket that's gold-plated is certainly a choice when you've just went all to acquire Myles Turner. KPJ was the wild card we deserved before that happened.

You're missing about two first rounders for New Orleans to even pick up the phone.

fair enough.

Unfortunately, we may be stuck waiting until a few teams meet reality and are more willing to deal their talent

I think you're catastrophising a bit. Can you detail what you think is do disasterous about a non-Giannis FA departure scenario?

I'm not saying it's a great situation - it isn't. But I think you're maybe being influenced by the media a bit.

The only draft assets this team will have soon will be swap rights for the next 7+ years. Just not a great place to be in with an ok roster and an ageing Giannis. That's why this next move has to be nailed.

2031 is ours and is why I've personally been so stingy with it. I agree.

This was the case regardless of the stretch/waive and Turner move, though. With how bleak things are post-Giannis, what makes our future situation so much worse after yesterday's moves?

Future looked not great either way but I mean they are guaranteed to trade more assets now so that makes it a little worse at least.

Bill Simmons made his brand/name in the early 2000s by talking about outdated things that were charming 20 years prior (Karate Kid, Larry Bird, Teen Wolf). And ironically, these days he is outdated and was charming 20 years ago.

I know boston has some black magic on these trades, but if they can get off that holiday deal and actually get a decent player and a pick for him, anything is possible with kuz

Should've traded Dame at the deadline, rather than Khris. Especially in hindsight.
