Now that we have a starting C in Ayton (not a fan but he is the best option right now) I can say that our team is quite complete now. The next thing I'd like to do is sign Dame for cheap. This is a low risk - high reward move. Maybe get another 3&D wing as I don't know yet what to expect from Lavaria and our rookie.

So I have been a fan of Ayton since he helped carry the the Suns to a Finals (still f the suns) and and I've often thought his teams were misusing him... I know here comes the hate on a diva not giving any effort and making excuses, and that's not untrue, but also remember when D'Antoni had Dwight and absolutely hated big men and Dwight was an absolute B in response?

A couple things stand out to me:

1. need a lob threat who also can hit the mid range in PnR? check.

Ayton loves shooting fade-a-ways when posting-up and 2' from the rim. I'm so glad the Laker's signed him.

Welcome, DA! Best C available, for sure. Lucky break.

Get Horford. Forget all other NBA centers and sign an undrafted 5 year vet and defense first C from Alabama with a 7’6” wingspan; Omoruyi. Then we’ll have our current C rotation secured. Ayton, Horford, Omoruyi.

Horford is at his best at PF or as a small ball C, can become a liability against the taller bigs.

With Laravia here, we can and should and probably will trade Knecht (plus fillers) for another C. That’s what I would do.

Kessler for Knecht plus X. Do it, Danny! If not, we can bring back Hayes.

How we drafted…
Adou is a beast of a wing defender. We can trade Rui’s expiring deal or Vando and still have a very solid defender on the wing in Adou.

We can also trade Gabe’s expiring deal because of RJ Davis who is all of that but younger. Big moment player. Five year college vet. POA pest.

Klieber’s expiring can go because of Eric Dixon.

If the seven team deal is going down, we have greenhorn backups in place already should we let go in a trade of all of Rui, Knecht, Vando, Klieber AND Vincent. Plus we can offer a pick and loads of cash…

In addition to Kessler or another C we need to bring back a dawg like Max Christie, Dyson Daniels, Marcus Smart, Josh Hart, McDaniels, Lou Dort, Nemhart, Nesmith,

In a hypothetical lineup of Luka, Reaves, Bron, Ayton, Dame; defense won’t be a strength. Add some 3&D dawgs.
