Can we get something done with LaMelo for Sengun?

Oh please, don’t get me overly excited for that possibility, cause it would be really sweet IMO. I wanted Sengun in the draft that the bugs screwed up so badly.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I mean it makes sense if you look at it.

We probably might have to add a pick but I think it would be worth it.

Yes please, Sengun would be a great trade even if we have to give up Ball

something around Melo and Bridges for Sengun, FVV, and Eason would certainly be enticing.

I honestly don't think they'd trade Sengun for Melo straight up though

Passing on Sengun at #11 in that draft was the most frustrating draft pick the Hornets have made imo since I started following. I'm not saying its necessarily the worst, but its the one that annoyed me the most.

The next year I also thought it was a no brainer to take Eason at #13 and get whoever was left of Mark/Duren with #15. Throw in the Kai pick and that was a pretty disastrous two years of drafting.

I don't think the Rockets would trade Sengun. He's still the teams best player (yes, he's better than old KD).

Hes real good. LaMelo is a similar level talent, but their is more risk with him and the Rockets have no reason to shake things up. Sengun with KD is going to be disgusting. Hes also an amazing fit with Amen. Amens offense in the half court is mostly off cutting and Sengun is one of the best players in the league at hitting guys cutting from the wing spots.

Udoka would have a brain aneurysm two quarters into coaching LaMelo. Of all the teams in the NBA they are the least likely to trade for him

You aren't the only one with Eason. It seemed like a no brainer to basically the entire board to take that route. Instead they did the dumbest possible option. I haven't let them down for that

How about Sabonis? Zubac? All this jumping through hoops and I don't have a clue who Jeff's after.

I had "obtain a good vet pg to back up Melo" as the number one need but I didn't expect them to triple up, lol.

If the board was the actual GM and used their consensus poll option as the picks, we would have Sengun, Eason, and Mark Williams. I need to dig deeper though

Edit: Last year we would have picked Buzelis (who looks infinitely better than Salaun right now)
