1 year $34 million for Ayton plus a PO
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

There was a confusing tweet saying how much he was going to get paid overall this year (34m).

So Shams said he will make $34 million "next season" but it's over 2 years, the second a PO? What a weird tweet.

Yes, weird tweet (presumably to do the agent a favor by saying a bigger number), but no, the ~$34M isn't over 2 years. He'll make ~$34M next year: ~$8M from the Lakers and ~$26M from the Blazers. Then he has a player option with the Lakers for ~$8M next year.

Yeah because their entire point of existing is getting people to watch their show and way more people live in LA.
I reduced my sports media intake by like 95% and didn't miss it at all.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

The majority of the national media hates Milwaukee and wants Giannis in a bigger market.

Re: ATL - Ayton to the Lakers
Ayton’s issues were off the court in Portland. I’m sure moving to LA won’t be a problem.
ETA: adds to LA’s legacy of #1 overall pick centers that they didn’t have to draft or develop (Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Dwight, AD)

The same media advocated Ayton to be selected 1st over Luka back in 2018.

argument about Turner’s contract. They’re both fine deals (Turner and JJJ) even with all the future cap flexibility we had to sacrifice just to sign him.
If Turner were 25, a better scorer, and won a DPOTY, he’d be getting paid a lot more. Just really funny that anyone’s trying to dunk on Memphis by acting like they just signed Bradley Beal to a super-max while we just got KG 2.0 on a sub-max contract.
To frame it correctly....
We are simply annoyed that the national media keeps painting it in a way that makes it sound as bad as possible when its not a functionally accurate assessment of the situation
This I understand...the media constantly gets on us for every move because they want Giannis gone. We aren't lucky enough to have teams hand us players like Boston, NY, LA, GS so we have to be creative.
At the same time, I think some of the Bucks fans need to be careful dogging our other team's moves. We are laughing at Knicks for hiring Mile Brown or other teams for overpaying semi-stars when we have our own sh.. going on.

Imagine if we signed Ayton and the Lakers signed Turner.
Or if we kept Lopez and Ayton/Turner both ended up with the two LA teams.
Either way our moves are wrong and the LA teams make the right decisions.

The Bucks are quite literally in desperation mode. Calling the move desperate is pretty accurate.
I also understand why they did it. What narrative should the national media take?

I don’t know that being dumb financially and owing people a lot of money = not being a nice man.

Taking a “gap year” in Giannis’ prime in hopes that some team would want Dame’s giant contract and three firsts next offseason was one of the dumbest ideas I’ve ever seen.

And I might have even talked about doing that. We all went a bit crazy. Let’s walk back to reality. Bucks added the best free agent on the market when they were a second apron team a few months ago.
Pistons spent their cap space on Duncan Robinson and no one even took the Nets money.
