Well to be honest it's better to be a Bucks fan these days than Raptors. No offense, they have Giannis. You don't. So i don't really understand what you're trying to do here. Mock them? Are you on a better position?
It's such a strange argument to make.
Most people, at least in my opinion, don't go on general board and talk about other teams to trash them. If anything, it's easier to be objective toward teams you have no emotional connection about.
Like, if some Wizards fan makes objective, level headed points, should we trash him because he is "Wizards fan" ? It's crazy way of thinking to me.
As for Bucks, to me they are like car crash, ugly but can't look away, and their desire to continue to wrack any hope for future in denial that they even have present is fascinating.
People are ignorant about where Bucks are at, and what they lost.
They didn't just lost Lopez, who they replaced with probably better player today (and in future), they lost Lillard as well.
Lillard wasn't just +25 ppg player, but one of greatest gravity creators in nba. Even in off night, you had to stick one guard to him 40 feet from rim in fear he will get hot from 30.
They also lost player who was bit of underrated as playmaker. 7,1 apg, 2,8 TO is pretty solid.
LIke, estimated Plus Minus had Lillard as 9th best offensive player in nba- this year.
Despite poor defense and negative impact, he was still- top 30 player by EPM. ( had EPM near identical to Derrick White and Anthony Edwards).
In playoffs, Bucks offensive rating with Lillard was 115,9 , without him it deflated to 108,9. That's drop from 2# best to 4th worst.
When you look at Bucks current roster, it is impossible to not see how terrible they are at 3 out of 5 positions. Literally, nobody in nba, including Hornets and Wizards and Jazz, has worst guard rotation and worst SF rotation. We talk about deep bench players, replacement level talents and disposable cannon fodders being asked to play 30 min a game or even worst- start.
People here talk about Kevin Porer jr like guy is some star in making. Guy is 25. Guy started 150 games in his life. Lost 111 of them. His win rate as starter is abysmal 26%.
Deeper you dig, clearer it is why. His EPM is -1,2. That makes him 280# "best" player in nba.
Net rating in playoffs : -7,7
Net rating on Clippers where he spent majority of season : - 1,4
Net rating on Houston in 2022-23 : - 8,3
In playoffs, he had equally bad OBPM and DBPM. He is two -way- negative player most of the time.
Trent is fine, but VERY one-dimensional player and not player that can create own shots. Gary Harris is dead body. Might as well buy coffin for team transfers. Guy will sneeze in game 1 and be out until all star break.
Prine / Kuzma are so bad that i refuse to even waste fingers to write about them.
Bucks simply aren't good nor talented team. Their entire talent lays in same position. It's center. Even Giannis would be better off playing full time C due age & miles, also would be massive missmatch for majority of teams there. But Bucks have no ball handlers and other two best players are also centers.
People here talk how if Bucks go to ECF or finals he would be considered "best player" and i'm here sitting, not sure they can even win 45 games if you factor in potential injuries and how shallow roster is. Without home court advantage they aren't winning first round. Assuming they can go to playoffs in first place. Much better and more talented Bucks teams failed to pass first round of playoffs for 3 years straight. This is by far least talented Bucks team since 2016-17 roster. But that roster was at least very young and hungry. This is old, banged up, washed up roster with pretty much no talent at guard spots and G league bad SF rotation.
