Man we really need this dude to come back this season in Butler-lite form. If Wiggins gets traded he needs to earn and take that starting spot.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Spo working on that Riley level rizz game

Edit: ffs how do you embed again?!

That's a YouTube short, not a video, I guess that's why embedding it doesn't work.
Just edit the URL and change shorts to v and it'll behave like a regular YouTube video.

See: https://youtube.com/v/8VfhohySsuA?si=Eq96q76VMrt_qhmt

Edit: Ok. Maybe it still won't embed, but it will behave like a regular YouTube video when you play it.

Edit 2: Ok. I figured it out. After you edit the URL and reload it, YouTube changes the URL to a format that RealGM Recognizes. Just copy the URL into your post and RealGM will embed it. Here's the URL, and see the video embedded below. I put spaces between : and // so you can see the URL.:

Man, Spo is such a nice dude. I hope he doesnt neuter the development of this kid with his crazy substitutions and minutes management.

I was watching some videos prior to the draft of teams like #8 Nets, #9 Raptors, #10 Rockets, #11 Blazers and #12 Bulls dreaming about picking Jakucionis. That was around where the Heat were originally projected to be picking before they won the Play-In. Great value at #20 and exactly what the Heat need!

The more I research KP the more I'm in disbelief that he actually fell to #20.

Here's a Reddit thread from 6 months ago (before KP's arm injury) in which people were touting him to be a top 5 pick in the NBA Draft (some were even saying top 3 pick): https://www.reddit.com/r/NBA_Draft/comments/1hyatah/2025_nba_draft_kasparas_jakucionis_topfive_pick/

Here are two (2) Reddit threads from 5 days ago in the Blazers sub-reddit, in which they discussed the latest mock drafts that had them selecting KP at #11. Everyone who commented was stoked about it and there was even concern about KP not being available at #11 for the Blazers to select:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ripcity/comments/1ljubzm/espns_last_mock_has_the_blazers_selecting_kasparas/

Here's another thread from 9 days ago in which Raptors fans discussed the latest mock draft - which had Toronto selecting KP at #9. They were excited about the pick and yet again, some were concerned about KP not being available at #9. https://www.reddit.com/r/torontoraptors/comments/1lg471p/raptors_nba_draft_kasparas_jakucionis_seen_as_a/

Yeah, Sam Vecenie also had him at #3 after the first half of the season. (even now Vecenie still had him in his top12, and said he thinks that Miami did great in picking Kasparas).

Full 1st round recap (can skip to 2:34:00 for the live reaction to Jakucionis pick):

When evaluating a playmaking guard, especially in college, I like to try to look at numbers to better understand the context around a player.

Here are some notable numbers for context:

- Illinois ranked 29th in NCAA in team 3-point rate (47.2% of FGA were 3s) >> so they were generating 3pt looks at a high rate and prioritizing as much
- Illinois ranked 305th (out of 364 teams) in the NCAA in team 3-point percentage (31.3%)
- Illinois ranked 15th in the NCAA in team shot quality >> according to this metric, Illinois was generating some of the best and most efficient looks in the country, but was failing to convert them at the rate they should

To me, this makes a good case to further support KJ's playmaking chops. Undoubtedly, Illinois was generating a lot of solid 3-pt looks and converting at a low rate. As the lead PG and playmaker for the team, I have to believe a decent amount of these looks were generated by KJ.

With that said, Illinois' abysmal 3-pt shooting was also partially dragged down by KJ's own poor shooting over the back half of the season. But, no one in the Illini rotation shot better than 35% from 3.

This is a video debating whether Kasparas is better than the #7 pick Fears. Kasparas’s pro comparison they give is Goran Dragic. KJ is better than Fears finishing around the basket. I think Fears and Demin were picked higher because teams believed they potentially have higher ceilings — not that they will be better players.

Something Vecenie mentioned - Kasparas just has way more outs to become successful, because there are multiple paths/roles he can potentially take to be an NBA player. Meanwhile, Fears' only path being the lead ball handler. And if he wants to be that, then he'll need to improve a ton in a lot of areas, which while not impossible, is highly improbable.
