I get that he's up there age wise, but he's still a key figure in the league and handling things in this manner seems off. And the possibility of him being traded are pretty surprising to hear even though I truly doubt we'll see that happen. But things have been very interesting this early offseason, so one can never be too sure.

Also, Pelinka has already traded AD without talking to anyone.

True; however, the likelihood of that happening with this particular individual are practically non existent. James still holds a NTC as far as I can recall, so moving him isn't going to be without his sign off.

One of the Morris twins on a podcast months ago admitted that Lebron knew beforehand. He approved of it and actually added that Lebron wanted Markeif in the trade too.

However, I understand why Lebron would lie about it. But he definitely knew.

The Morris brothers talk a lot of nonsense.

It makes some sense for him to wait til February to demand a trade. He gets to wait and see who is cooking and make sure he isn't going somewhere a major injury takes place in the first part of the season. Plus he gets to enjoy LA and up until February before moving on to play for the Knicks, Cavs, Warriors, etc.

Philly would be an interesting destination.

Of course as always, depends on health of Embiid. But still in the East, and as part of deal, require Philly all-in trade for another win-now player using Edgecombe plus future picks.

Yeah... that's a word for it. Not the one I'd use, but yeah.

It's the word that avoids the profanity filter.

He opted in, as is his contractual right. Lakers and the League as a whole is indebted to him.
He's not worth $50million for the oncourt production he will likely bring this season; But why look at it only thru that narrow prism

He could negotiate a buyout if he/Lakers deem it is best for both parties

Its his right to opt in and its the Lakers right not to buy him out. He's still valuable. Not 50 mil valuable but he's more valuable playing for the Lakers than dead money. I don't see why the Lakers do this.

They’re a part of the Klutch umbrella, but don’t always get the script hence him slipping up unfiltered. The alternative is to take Lebron at his word. It’s a very easy thing to think through, analytically.

THE ONLY way he is playing for another team this summer is if the Lakers buy him out and then he signs the vet Min.
No one is getting rid of all that salary and value to trade for 40 year old thats about to retire.
Definitely not Cleveland and nor should the Knicks. Trading KAT for Lebron opens up a hugeeeeeee whole unless they can trade one of OG or Bridges for a center. And playable big men are in so no one is just going to willing give up a good big man unless they are Charlotte

I disagree. It would help him greatly if he wins a ring. His track record is that he already ring chased. If he wins another win and by miracle wins another Finals MVP it will do wonders for his legacy.

San Antoino right now would be an excellent t choice for Lebron.
