I don’t want that stretching Beal like Lillard. I know he is Mr Street Clothes but this is better like Mr Stretch Provision.

Fleming has a nice handle.

I have no idea if these two guys will turn into quality NBA players, but they both will be fun to watch next year. That’s about all I can ask for at this point. I hope they both get substantial minutes.

Buying him out in this particular situation is moronic! Beal needs to hold tight and not accept a dime less of his contract! Stretching and waiving his contract completely ensures this team is stuck purgatory for the next five years.

Fleming's wingspan is insane! He was barely bent over dribling and his hands were almost touching the ground. This duo has ridiculous length.

I was watching PHNX_SUNS podcast yesterday and they talked about stretching and waiving Beal and the players they could get. Not one of them was a difference maker. And Gerald said it was just to use the TPMLE. So basically stretching Beal for 16m per year to sign a guy for $5.6m pear year That was just stupid to me It was just doing something to sign a player - which I think at least on that podcast, the viewers writing in during the show or on Twitter - they just want the Suns to do something. And the hate for Beal is over the top.

Trade him
Play him
or buy him out for 95m and he can recoup the rest from other teams

I absolutely do not want them to stretch Beal. Just ride the year out and keep him home if you don't want to play him. See if we can get a trade for him at the deadline or maybe next year when he's an expiring, otherwise he will be a massive expiring in 2 years. Be patient.

I don't see what's so toxic about just playing Beal. Sure, if you can find a trade, go for it. Though you certainly don't paint a good picture for a trade when every public report says you're desperate to get rid of him. Short of a trade, he's still a pretty good player lol. He's a poor fit but he's what you've got. And assuming the roster stays looking similar to what it is now, we will find that while the team is much younger, longer, and more athletic, there are precious few players who can dribble

I think that the only 2 things with Beal that create a problem. First is that many people felt that he wasn't worth the money we were paying him. Second as the Suns work to retool this team around a different style of ball that many parts of his game are also duplicated in Green who the Suns are eying as a piece for the future.

Actually, the up tempo style we are talking about going to benefits him more than the previous offense!

You will stunt the development of the rookies if you have Beal around moping and taking shots and minutes from the guys that need minutes to develop. Cut your losses and move on, IMO.

He was pretty professional last year and has been supremely professional his whole career. It used to be thought of as vet leadership.

Weird. Because during all the madness and rumors, not once did he mope around or take shots away from other players. In fact, it was quite the opposite, he sacrificed his stats and his attempts and his minutes. He even went to the bench last year and didn’t say a peep. So the evidence doesn’t back up your claim.

I too thought he was very professional last year. He wants to be in Phoenix for his family.

Ishbia should make him a deal he can't refuse. Have his agent see if he can get the TPMLE and call it good at 98m

No shttt … what is the upside playing him??? Seriously. His value is stagnant at best. An injury could cement him here for the duration. Whose minutes will he be taking? This year is nothing but a ‘sit back and see’ yr.

Just pretend he is injured. That ought to be easy to do

1. Stretching Beal makes no competitive sense - we’re not winning within the next two years. Bad contracts are much better than that much dead money for 5 seasons. In one year he’ll be on an expiring contract and much more moveable if necessary. Bucks only did it with Lillard because Giannis was threatening to leave and they had Turner lined up to sign with the open space.

2. I would love CP3 back (as a backup only). Who better to help the young bigs learn how to screen, roll, catch lobs, etc. To me it’s a no brainer if he accepts the role. If he needs to start, I’ll pass. His slow play style is not what I want with this younger group.
